Annabeth

"The hell do you want?"

He made a face as he pretended to be hurt. "Ouch, where are your manners? Aren't you going to offer me food or a drink? I did go through a lot of trouble just to be here."

I crossed my arms, clearly in no mood to play one of his games. "I can offer you a punch to the face or a kick in the ass." He sighed and patted the empty spot next to him. I hesitated before sitting on the opposite end of the seat. "I'm going to offer it one last time. Join me." Raising an eyebrow, I scoffed. "You're quick to get to the point."

"Come on, Annie," Luke continued. "I miss you. We both know we're better together." The urge in his eyes was enough to drive me closer to him.

Careful Annabeth, I thought to myself. This man is dangerous.

He stared into my eyes until I didn't see blue anymore. I saw longing and worry and so many other emotions mixed into it. My mouth stayed closed, too scared to say anything as he crept closer. We let his words linger in the atmosphere as he climbed on top of me. The worst part was I was letting him without any second thoughts clouding my mind. His lips connected to my neck as I ran my hands through his hair.

He was the first to break the silence. "Do you remember when we would spend nights like this? Just the two of us. The way it was before." His rough voice sent shivers down my spine as he made marks on my skin.

Of course I remember it. I knew this game all too well. It was, after all, my favorite.

A gasp escaped my throat as his kisses started getting rougher. He had bitten my neck in a way that hadn't been too hard, but hard enough that it reminded me who was in charge here. Yeah, that will definitely leave a mark. I'll have to cover it up, but that's a problem for when this is over and the damage has been done. I didn't dare speak, the moment was too good and I didn't dare ruin it.

"I remember your betrayal."

There it was. The words had come out of my mouth long before I could register what I said. Instead, he only laughed and made his way down.

"Oh, Annie. I'm a mean guy, what can I say? And you're just the girl he wants to protect."

I inhaled deeply as he kissed even further down. His lips were intoxicating, and I'm not sure it's healthy for me. "This isn't some Harley Quinn and Joker act, Luke." He glanced up at me with a sinister grin. "Says who, darlin'? Just look pretty, call me puddin', and I'll take care of the rest."

Running my hands through his hair, I let out a sigh as I watched him. "Oh, Luke. Always thinking that you can solve everything."

His hands ran up my thighs and rubbed them gently. "I can solve us."

Not once, I noticed, he looked me in the eyes to tell me that. Of course, what was more important to him was not my eyes but what was in between my legs. Percy would've made eye contact with me while saying that. He's real, I thought to myself. Why was I thinking of another guy when my childhood crush was right here giving me a promise? Maybe cause I was used to him breaking promises by now. Maybe this time my heart was smarter than my head. And my heart surely wasn't beating for Luke. I let the silence wrap around us. His lips spoke the words he wouldn't. Yeah, as if that was for us anyway.

I pulled his head up and stared at him as he hovered above me. His lips were so damn close. "I can solve us," he repeated.

A hand moved along his lips as the other crept along the couch.

Staring into his eyes, I saw everything expected. Sadness, fear, love. All the fake emotions he was putting on to convince me. I was no damn Harley Quinn. I wasn't going to fall for this act.

"You're not capable of love, Luke."

His lips lowered near mine as he whispered, "Let me prove it, darlin'."

Our lips crashed together into a hot mess. A hand moved through his hair while the other gripped the iron handle. Without hesitation, I plunged the dagger into Luke's back. He gasped and choked for air as I pushed him off. His blood seeped onto the couch, making a large mess. I knew he'd be fine. The knife had hit a spot nowhere near his spine or arteries.

"Luke Castellan, you've played this game one too many times. It's about damn time I win."

Shaky pale hands pulled the dagger out of his back. He stared horrified at his crimson covered hands. "What's wrong? Isn't red your favorite color?"

I could tell he was fighting to stay conscious but he'd give in any second now. He let out a weak chuckle and whispered, "Game on, darlin'." Then he shut his eyelids.

A/N: Oh, come on. Did you really think I would write about Annabeth and Luke getting it on? Gross, no thanks. That's almost as unhealthy as Harley and the Joker. I finally got this chapter written though, praise me. I've got finals tomorrow so wish me luck.
