Percy

I've been angry many times in my life. When I'd been accused of cheating on a test for the first time, when my friends had kept the secret that they were part of the statistic that fourteen percent of teens were in a gang, I was even madder when they kept it from me that Luke was my cousin. But I believe that I'm beyond mad at this point. With a rope tied tightly around my neck and my limbs losing circulation due to how restrained I was to the chair, I was certain that this was no longer anger. Pure hatred and violence pumped my blood, keeping myself from fainting. In the past few hours I had been imprisoned here, I had been beaten and bruised trying to get me to talk. All the while, my own cousin watched in the back with a smirk on his face. How could he sit there and watch the guy he used to play monster trucks with as a kid suffer through the pain his people were putting him through?

The prideful gleam that kept replaying in Luke's eyes only made me all the more furious. Tasting something metallic in my mouth, I turned as much as my body was allowed and spit up remaining blood that had been released from my past beating this hour. I didn't know how much more I could take, but judging by the purple and yellow tint to my skin and all the blood I was covered with, something told me it wouldn't be much longer.

The sound of footsteps made me pause and look up. None other than the devil's minion stood at the doorway. Clearly watching me scream in pain as I bled hadn't been enough, and he seemed to be ready for the millionth round. A scream was heard from down the hall and my heart dropped into my stomach. The only reason I wasn't being tortured until the point of insanity right now was because they were busy giving their own permanent scars to Jason. "You just can't get enough of me, can you?" I grumbled bitterly and stared up at him. Luke simply shrugged and strode over. "I'm not here to watch you squirm like a can of worms again, little cousin." I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the choice of words he used to address me. Trust me, there was no need to remind me that I was related to this homicidal maniac. He paused in front of me and studied my beat up face. Blood was dripping down the sides of it and the skin on my chin was peeling. The blond stayed silent for a moment before clearing his throat. "He wants to see you."

My pulse started to quicken. "I don't care," I barked. "I never want to see him again."

Luke chuckled and rolled his eyes as if he found my anger amusing. To him, watching me must be like to watch a puppy.

"You say it like you have a choice. He's coming to see just how well you've taken the beatings, whether you like it or not."

An echo of heavy boots hitting the warehouse floor could be heard and my stomach lurched. I struggled against the binds as if I could escape by some miracle. Shaking my head, I yelled loudly, "No! I don't wanna see him!" Luke's smirk widened as he watched the emotional pain dull out the physical. "Percy, it's time you meet our leader."

A familiar pair of sea-green eyes looked over at me. The malicious smirk that appeared on the familiar face made me feel nauseous and nostalgic all at once. "Hello son," my father's voice boomed. "It's time we have a talk."

A/N: Dun dun dun, it's finally revealed who the leader is. This book is coming to an end, which makes me kind of sad but also glad that I won't have to worry about updating this book so much. Agh. Happy Halloween! I hope you all have an amazing holiday. Comment and tell me what you thought on the chapter.
