Leo
I knew something was up the minute Annabeth called me. I had been working after school on improving my sweet baby, Calypso aka my car. She was truly a beauty. As soon as my phone started ringing, I wiped the grease off my hands with a nearby rag. Eyebrows raised up in confusion when I noticed who was calling me.
"I need your help," is the first thing I hear once I accept the call.
"Woah, what happened?"
"Just come over. And bring a mop."

My hands were an alarming red. Doing someone else's dirty work was nothing, it was a piece of cake. But this? This was basically declaring war. I was currently driving down the road. My eyes kept glancing back and forth from the road to the dark crimson liquid that ran down my skin.
How did I end up getting some in my hair?
"Annabeth, are you sure this is what you want?"
In the last fifteen minutes, I had helped Annabeth suture the wounds of the enemy that had been inflicted by the blonde herself. This girl could do some serious damage. Her vicious side was like a jack-in-the-box; you never knew how many turns it would take until it popped up.
Now we were driving to a destination where Luke's pathetic groupies would surely find him. Then they'd know we mean business.
"Positive. They think they're the superiority. Let's see how long it will take them to change their minds as soon as they see that their leader isn't that hard to take down."
Letting out a loud sigh, I didn't say anything other than mutter a few words to her to open up a window. The smell of blood was clogging up my nose. The smell of it was even finding a way into my tongue as I tasted the metallic taste of it all.
"Leo, have you ever been in love?"
"I've been in it, yes. Have I experienced it back? I fucking wish."
Annabeth laughed, her curls bouncing along with the sound that echoed throughout the car. "Of course, how could I forget? I'm sitting in a car that's named after the damn girl." She shook her head and I simply shrugged. Her lips pursued; the way it did when she had so many questions to ask but wasn't sure if she should say it. I said, "Might as well ask away, princess. We've got a long car ride to go."
Without another hesitation, she blurted, "How do you know you're in love? Yes, you're infatuated with Calypso but what you feel for her, is it truly, purely love? I mean, she's always seen you as that shy class goofball and she's not even aware of your feelings for her."
I raised my eyebrow. It was silent in the car for a bit before I started laughing. "Damn, Annie."
She frowned and straightened in her seat. "What?" She asked.
"You sure seem to be interested in this topic. Is it because of a certain little fish boy I'd say?" I didn't even have to glance her way to know she was blushing. "Is it obvious?" Heaving a sigh I explained, "You just know. Love is like math."
"How so?"
"It's really fucking hard to understand without wanting to jump off a bridge. You can be driven to the point of insanity if you try to figure it out. So, don't. Calypso makes my day brighter without even realizing it. Forgetting everything, even your name, but never that one person who makes you truly happy- that's how you know you're fucked. It's not about butterflies or sparks every time they look at you, it's about seeing their imperfection but still loving them for it. Maybe Calypso hasn't realized my feelings yet but I've never truly shown her that. I've never tried courting her but can you blame me? Love can drive you off the edge of a cliff. But sometimes you have to leap off to find out who's going to catch you at the bottom."
Her eyes widened. "Leo, wow.." A small grin spread on my face. "We're here," is all I said as I stopped the car in front of the old building I was in front of not too long ago. Annabeth seemed to shake off her shocked daze and grabbed the unconscious body in the back. I watched her dump the body onto the cold ground before going back to the car and grabbing a red spray paint. Raising an eyebrow, my eyes could only watch as she shook the can and moved it delicately across the front of the worn down building.

No mercy.
She walked back into the car with a sense of confidence rolling down from her head to her feet. "Ready to go home?" I asked her.
"Actually, can you drop me off at Percy's? I think I have some explaining to do to him."
With a nod, I started the car again and made a U-turn.
"Annabeth?"
"Hm?"
"Make sure he's not related to any cop before you do, though." She laughed and rolled her eyes.
"Speak for yourself. Calypso's dad is an actual cop."
I made a face. "Gods damnit."
