Chapter 6

I woke up the next morning, going to the bathroom to sort myself out. After I'd done that, I went in search of Andy. He was in the living room with the rest of the band. They were strumming their guitars with CC tapping on the table and Andy shuffling some papers. I watched them for a few seconds, smiling to myself. My eyes switched to Andy who hadn't seen me yet as he had his back to me. I'd noticed he had headphones on which meant he couldn't hear anything if they were on. He sat down, pushing his hair back. He scrutinised a piece of paper in his hand. None of them had spotted me yet until Ashley stopped playing his guitar. He grinned at me.

“Hi, Rose!” He waved at me and I waved back, smiling.

“So, this is the girl Andy keeps talking about?” Jinxx spoke. Ashley just winked at him, smiling knowingly.

“Morning, Rose.” CC greeted.

“Come sit down.” Jake ushered me in and I did as I was told, taking a seat next to Ashley.

“Oi, your girlfriend's here.” CC threw a ball of paper at Andy and it hit him right on his face. Jake nudged him in the ribs, giving him a warning look. I shrugged it off, stifling a laugh as CC grinned triumphantly, ignoring Jake. Andy removed his headphones and then smiled when he finally saw me. He hadn't heard CC's comment.

“Rose. Have a good night?” He asked me.

“Yeah, thanks.” I replied. Ashley looked at me and then at Andy before whispering something in Jinxx's ear.

“Hey! Secrets are rude!” Jake piped up, feeling left out. They told him and he just chuckled. CC didn't seem too bothered about their secret, nor was Andy. He just rolled his eyes, a slight smile on his face.

“So, what do you want me to do?” I asked.

“What do you mean?” Andy raised an eyebrow.

“I can't just stay here for nothing. I have to do something.” I replied.

“Rose, seriously? There's nothing to do.” He shrugged.

“Oh, I can cook!” I suggested.

“You don't have to! Just relax.” He smiled but I shook my head.

“No, I'm going to cook. Don't worry, I won't poison you guys. I can cook well.” I chuckled. Andy looked up quickly as I laughed, his face brightening up.

“Alright, then.” He smiled in defeat and he just looked at me as if nobody else was in the room. I had to look away from the intensity of his blue eyed stare.

“Let's have a party.” Ashley said, out of the blue.

“Sounds cool.” Jake shrugged.

“Yeah, Rose can meet Sammi.” Jinxx smiled. I nodded eagerly as I'd always wanted to meet her, she seemed lovely.

“Andy?” CC looked at him, waiting for an answer.

“Yeah, sounds great. We could invite all the guys and stuff.” Andy agreed, grinning.

“Great!” Ashley said excitedly. I actually shared their enthusiasm, it would be good to finally have some fun.

“Looks like it's just you and me.” Andy grinned as he said goodbye to his band mates.

“Looks like it.” I smiled.

“So, what do you want to do?” He asked.

“I don't know. We could watch a film or something?” I suggested.

“Yeah, come on then.” He motioned for me to follow him and I did.

“Tell me you like horror films.” Andy said, pausing with a DVD in his hand.
