Jared woke up to his phone buzzing frantically. He groaned and rolled over in his bed, grabbing his phone from the nightstand and read the caller ID. Slipping on his glasses and smoothing his hair, he accepted the FaceTime request and glared as the camera connected. "Evan, whatever the heck your middle name is, Hansen. What did I tell you?"
"That you're really gay?"
Jared's face turned red. "That and..."
"Alana is horrible and no one likes her?"
"And?"
"Oh! Never call you before 11 am." Jared nodded. "And what time is it?" He asked. Evan turned to look at his alarm clock. "4:31...crap, sorry. I just couldn't sleep. I'll hang up now."
"No, wait, don't!" Jared blurted. Evan paused. "I mean," Jared scratched his neck. "I'm already up now, so..." Evan gave him a small smile. "It's not like we have class tomorrow." Jared stated. "True." He agreed.
Jared yawned. "We hanging out tomorrow?" He questioned. "If you want?" The hazel eyed boy replied. "Mm. It's your turn to pick where we go." Jared smirked. Evan furrowed his eyebrows. "How am I supposed to know where to go?"
"I don't know! Figure it out!" Jared whisper yelled, not wanting to wake up the rest of his family. "What about roller skating, or a movie?" Evan asked, twiddling his thumbs.
Jared rolled his eyes. "Maybe for a first date!"
He sighed, slightly dejected. "What about the orchard? He glanced up at the brunette. "Weren't we literally just there?"
"Maybe that could be our spot!"
Jared raised his eyebrows. "Our spot?" He said, putting air quotes around the phrase. Evan nodded. "Every group of friends has a spot! The orchard can be ours!" Jared chuckled at his excitement. After a bit of pleading, courtesy of Evan, he gave in. "Okay. Our spot. 12:00 sharp."
"Got it!" Evan hung up the phone, clasping it to his chest. What are these feelings? Are these supposed to be here?
Just go away, already!
I think I might really like him.
