It was a week after the cemetery visit, and Jared and Evan made a silent agreement to never speak of it. Obviously, Jared told Zoe and Alana about it, but they only shook their heads. This had happened before.

Evan was sitting in his dorm room after class when he called Jared. "I'm so bored." He heard a chuckle on the other end of the line. "I have to study..."

"Me too! Come over so we can study together."

"That directly translates to 'Let's listen to the Come From Away soundtrack and make out on your bed', Evan."

"So?"

"I'll be there in ten." Evan heard Jared hang up and laughed to himself. I really am the luckiest guy in the world, aren't I? He wondered as he grabbed his homework and bluetooth speaker. Jared arrived shortly, carrying two to-go cups from the university's Starbucks. "Pumpkin Spice?" Evan asked hopefully. Jared winked horribly, and handed one of the cups to him. "The gayest of drinks." He murmured, giving Evan a quick kiss. Evan breathed in. "You smell like fall." He said as Jared took off his scarf and coat. He set his backpack on the floor and gave him a quizzical look. "I smell like fall?"

Evan looked down at his feet. "Y-you know...like autumn. L-like leaves and trees and cuddles and...I don't know...all the things I like, I-I guess.." Jared beamed and sat down next to him on the couch. "You're literally the cutest guy in the world." He said, leaning in for another kiss. Evan dodged him and turned on the speaker. Jared glowered at him as 'Costume Party' began to play.

Soon, they were flipping through the pages of their textbooks and belting out the lyrics to 'Me and the Sky'. Evan got emotional at the end, per usual, so Jared kissed his forehead to make him feel better. "Only the forehead?" He whined. Jared rolled his eyes but kissed him anyway. Evan grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him closer, tugging on his pride beanie. Jared had a gay pride beanie and Evan had a pansexual pride scarf, which Alana and Zoe gave them shortly after they started dating.

The two were caught up in the moment, and barely heard the door open. Evan just thought it was his roommate and ignored him. Suddenly, a loud crash was heard beside them. They immediately pulled apart and looked at the door.

"What the hell?"

Jared's eyes widened. "Mom?"
