Unexpected Love

Chapter 6

Cole's POV ♥

   I know Mia's hiding something from me, but what? Why won't she tell me. I've known her for years so I knew when she didn't want to tell me something. And today was one of those times.
   What could have happened yesterday? She seemed honest about her mom's friend... But I'm sure something else had happened.
  Did she meet another guy? Maybe she's starting to like a guy. Maybe she doesn't want to make me sad so she kept it to herself. All these thoughts were running through my mind, that I hadn't heard the teacher calling my name. Mia flicked my neck and I came out of zoning out.
   "Oww!" I whispered. "That actually hurt!"
   "Weeelll maybe if you would've been paying attention, I wouldn't have done that," she said with a smirk. She's such a little minx. That's one of the things I like about her. She can be mean to me whenever but she always looks cute with her furrowed brows.
   The bell rang and noticed Mia had left her seat already. I quickly grabbed my things to try to catch up to her but she was walking too fast. I started walking faster and finally catches up.
   "Hey Mia! Can I go to the mall with you and Jenny?" I asked.
   "Ummm...", she started to say.
    I didn't give her time to talk and said, "Alright I'll meet you guys there!" I shouted as I worked my way through the halls trying to get away as fast as I could so she couldn't say no. She was going to be mad, but I didn't care. At least I was going to hang out with her. I was going to get her to tell me what happened yesterday.
