Jason's POV
As I left Mia at her house I couldn't help the smile on my face. She really made my night. I feel so comfortable when I'm with her and she makes me laugh. She really is a great girl. All I thought about when we kissed though, was how I wanted to take her home with me and take her to my room. But no, I thought. She's different. So as we said our goodbyes I gave her a peck and I watched as she got to her doorstep safely.
I get home, and as I walk past the living room I notice some lights were on. As I go towards the light switch I find my mom sleeping on the couch with a book half open on her lap. She looked so peaceful when she slept. I really didn't want to wake her, but she would be more comfortable on her bed. I shook her shoulder gently but she didn't budge. I shook her again a little harder and she finally stirred.
"Hey mom," I whispered. "Go to your room mom, you'll be more comfortable."
"Oh, your back honey, how was your date with Mia?" she asked yawning.
As she started to get up, she closed her book and I said,"It was really fun mom. I had a great time."
"I'm so happy for you. She's such a nice girl. Not like your other little friends, which I never met by the way. You better treat her right Jason," she remarked before going up the stairs to her bedroom.
By now I was exhausted so I headed up to my bedroom and changed into some boxers and stayed shirtless. What a night.Cole's POV
Ugh! I hated the fact that Mia was going on a dinner date with Jason. He's a player! He wouldn't take care of Mia like I would. He would just play with her feelings. I don't know what Mia was thinking saying yes to Jason. I couldn't help wondering the things they were doing right now. He was probably touching her and whispering in her ear and so many other things I would have loved to do.
I needed to talk to Mia and I was desperate! She needs to know that Jason is not the right guy for her. I decided to wait for her at her house. I know I will seem a little weird but I couldn't sleep thinking that Mia might get ideas of having a relationship with Jason. She knows I like her and maybe even more. She made me do things I would've never thought I'd do.
Mia was too special and I didn't like the thought that she could get hurt. And what if I could stop her before she did. I jumped in my cr and drove towards her house.
As I got to her house I walked up her doorsteps and knocked on the door. It was 11:00 P.M. I wonder if maybe she's already home. As I was about to knock again I stopped when I heard footsteps coming towards the door. The door opened and Mia's mom was on the other side.
"Good evening Ms. Rodriguez, sorry if I woke you," I apologized.
"No it's alright Cole I was actually just reading a book, though I look kinda sleepy don't I," she laughed. "Can I help you with something."
"Yeah, ummm I was wondering if Mia is home yet," I said.
"No sorry honey, she's still on her date with Jason. You know him right. He's going to be new at the school. You guys will probably become good friends," she smiled. I highly doubt it, I thought.
"Oh, well umm do you mind if I wait for her here Ms. Rodriguez?" I asked with a pleading look.
"Cole, you know you are welcome here anytime! Now come inside. Does your mom know you came?" she asked.
"Yeah, she knows," I said with a serious face hoping she'd buy it. I had actually sneeked out of my house, but it's not like anyone at my house cared. They wouldn't even notice if I was gone.
"Alrighty then, make yourself at home. You are welcome to stay as long as you want," she says looking sorry. Ms. Rodriguez knew my struggles and I bet she knew I was lying. But I was so thankful to have someone who was supportive and nice. "Well I'll go to sleep, I really am tired now," she said yawning.
"Thanks Ms. Rodriguez, goodnight," I smiled.
"Goodnight Cole," she answered.
As she went up the stairs I went to the living room and sat on the couch, waiting to hear a car pull up or anything that meant that Mia was finally home. It was about 12:00 A.M. when I finally saw some lights pass by the window. I sneakily went across the room and moved the curtain an inch to look outside. It was a black car and it was kind of dark outside but the lights from the streetlamps let me see who it was. It was definately Mia and Jason.
What I saw next caught me off guard. They leaned into each other and kissed. I had this gut wrenching feeling inside. I was seriously sad that Mia had done that. I know she's single and she could do anything she wants with whoever she wants but I sort of felt betrayed. Like a promise was broken, but nothing was really promised.
I watched as they talked for a bit and Jason gives her a peck as she comes out of the car. He watches her as she makes her way to her doorstep and then drives away. I just sat there unable to comprehend what just happened. I guess since I never really saw her kiss a guy or even hang out with a guy other than me I kind of felt jealous. Well not kind of, more like I was jealous. It was unnerving.
She opens her door and walks towards the kitchen. I hear the fridge open and water being poured. She then turns off the light from the kitchen and jumps.
"Holly fuck! Cole! You scared the shit out of me! What are you doing here!?" she half whispered half screamed. It was pretty humorous to see, but I wasn't in the mood to laugh so I stood up.
"I came to talk to you, about Jason..." I said. "I've been waiting an hour actually but I didn't think you'd stay that late at dinner with HIM."
"Well cuz I had a good time. Does my mom know you're here?" she asked.
"Do you think I'd break into your house?" I asked incredulous.
"Haha no, just asking since I don't see her around."
"Yeah she went to sleep. She said I could stay as long as I want. I'm guessing she thinks there was a problem at my house and that's why I came over cuz I needed someone to talk to," I said.
"Hmmm, yeah she probably does. Well umm I need to go change I don't know if you want to come up...?" she suggested.
"Why do you sound so uncomfortable? I've been in your room thousands of times," I reminded her, walking towards the stairs and Mia right behind me.
"Yeah, I know, I don't know why I even asked," she said sounding confused.
I walked down the hall till I got to her room and opened the door. I looked back and noticed Mia was limping so I went towards her trying to help, as I carried her wedding style to her room.
"Cole!" she whispered trying not to scream.
"I am only helping a damsel in distress. You were taking a while and saw you were limping," I explained.
"Yeah, the heels kind of wrecked me. You know I don't really wear heels,"she said.
"What are you talking about? I know you don't wear heels at all!" I remarked, letting her down on her bed. "You know I give really good foot massages."
"Oh my God! You would do that for me?" she whispered.
"I'd do anything for you Mia," I whispered back looking into her eyes so she knew I was serious.
"Alright let me just change into my PJs which are way more comfortable than this thing," she says looking down at her dress. I don't think she even got what I was trying to say.
"I'll get the lotion while you change then," I said feeling disappointed.
Mia went to her closet and got her PJs and walked into her bathroom. She closed the door but it kind of opened a crack and I was about to tell her when I saw her start zipping her dress off. As I watched I became speechless and all I thought was, damn she is beautiful. She slowly took off her dress and it looked almost on purpose she was taunting me with her looks. She looked sexy. I couldn't stop staring but I'd be disrespecting her privacy, so I went to a corner across the room and said,"Hey I think the door is open cuz I'm smelling something funny out here. Did you fart?"
"Eeew! No I didn't fart. It must be you," she laughed. "You have better not been looking through the crack of the door," she yelled. I see the door close and sit on her bed.
"No. I was too busy choosing which lotion to use on your feet," I yelled back.
"Sure you were," she answered. I just laughed.
She then came out and was wearing a pink, silky, long sleeved, blouse with matching silky shorts. It brought a lot to my imagination and I couldn't stop looking at her. She didn't seem to notice and plopped on the bed. She then adjusted her pillows and stretched her feet out in front of me.
"So you wanted to tell me something about Jason?" she asked.
"Yeah. I don't like that guy. And I don't like the fact that you went on a date with him," I said, squeezing some lotion onto my palm.
"Wait you know him?" she asked.
"I don't," I admitted. "But I have heard ALOT about him, and what I've heard are not rainbows and sunshine."
"You haven't even met him. He might not be what other people blame him to be."
"I don't know. I just have a bad feeling about him," I stated starting to rub my hands on her feet. She started to moan, which kind of turned me on, but I had to not think of that.
"That feels so good Cole," she whispered.
