We finally got in the car, but Jason didn't start the car right away. I glanced his way, and I noticed he was staring at me.
"What? Do I look bad?" I asked.
"No! Not at all," he answered.
"Then why are you staring at me like that?"
"Because," he paused. "Because you look stunning, and really beautiful."
"Haha. Me stunning? Very funny. But thanks," I whispered, blushing.
"You're very welcome," he said smiling. "Now let's get to this dinner."
"Let's go."
As Jason started the car, I flicked through his radio but nothing good was on so I turned it off. The car ride was silent but peaceful. I glanced his way again and noticed he was wearing a tux. How fancy. And he looked really good in it too.
We started to slow down in front of what looked to be the most expensive restaurant ever! I wonder how much he's going to be wasting on dinner... From what I'm seeing it's probably going to be a lot.
As we parked he got out of the car, and came over to my side and opened my door. What a gentleman! I was impressed.
He got a hold of my hand and helped me out of the car. As soon as I got out he closed the car door and I folded my arm through his. We walked towards the restaurant and when we got inside I was even more awestruck than when I saw the outside of the place. There were chandeliers everywhere on the ceiling making it look very elegant, and there was an ice sculpture of a swan right in the middle. I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place than this.
A waiter that came to attend us looked like he had come right out of a catalog!
"Hello. Welcome to our sweet haven in paradise. My name is Jhon and I will be attending you today, so if there is anything you would like or need I am here to serve you. Please follow me," he said while leading us to a table very close to the center where the sculpture was.
The table was adorned with a crystal centerpiece that held a candle lit in the middle. It had a bouquet of natural flowers on the top of all kinds of colors. I bet it had every color in the rainbow. I also noticed that the whole restaurant was dimly lit, giving the place an intimate and sensual feeling. There was also a glass door to the right of the room that seemed to lead outside to a small garden. How romantic.
When we got to the table Jason pulled out my chair like a gentleman and helped me sit. As he sat on his side of the table the waiter asked what we wanted to drink.
"Can I get a raspberry lemonade please," I said.
"And what can I get you sir?" Jhon, the waiter, asked Jason.
"I'll get the same please, but can we also get a bottle of champagne, please," Jason said.
"Yes sir," he answered. "I will be back with your drinks and here are the menus," he said handing us a fancy looking booklet. He let us know on some specials and off he went to get our drinks.
"Omg. This place is really elegant and fancy!" I said to Jason.
"Yeah it's the best place to come when you want to have a one on one dinner with someone special," he said with a wink. "This is actually the place my mom and dad met for the first time. They also had their first dinner date here and he proposed to her here as well... After their 5 years of dating and stuff. So you can say this place is pretty special. It's my first time here as well. I hadn't really ever taken a girl to dinner, so this is something different for me. Different but good," he added with a smile.
"Wow. That's soo romantic and special." I was really touched by the fact that their parents had had so much history here. I was even more touched that Jason had brought me here for our first date.
At that moment the waiter brought our drinks and the bottle of champagne and asked,"Are you guys ready yet to order food?"
"Oh, yeah, I'll have the grilled beef tenderloin," Jason said.
"I'll have the same," I said. I hadn't really understood the names on the menu so I decided to get whatever Jason was having.
"Anything else?" Jhon asked.
"No that would be all for right now, thank you," replied Jason.
"OK then, I will be back with your dinner. Enjoy!" Jhon beamed.
I thought the waiter was pretty cute so I watched as he left.
"What are you staring at?" Jason asked, sounding sort of jealous.
"Haha, what I can't stare? He was kind of cute!" I exclaimed.
"You came to dinner with me! You should stare at me more. I'm cuter than the waiter," he stated with a smirk.
"Haha shut up Mr. Cocky over here."
"I am not cocky! I am only saying the truth!"
"Haha, hilarious," I said.
"What? You don't think I'm cute?" he asked.
"Hmm... define cute."
"Jerk," he said throwing me a flower petal, making me laugh.
The waiter then finally comes and places the plates of food in front of us. The food looked and smelled so good, my mouth became to water. Throughout our dinner I was able to get to know more about Jason's life and thankfully he never talked about any of his past dates with girls.
"I see you've finished already! Damn you eat fast," Jason said laughing.
"I was hungry! You can't blame me for that!" I laughed.
"Well then if you're not too full we can order desserts..."
"Sounds good," I answered.
"Hey John!" Jason called just as the waiter was walking by. "Can we get dessert please."
"Yeah, what would you like?"
"Anything with chocolate," Jason answered.
"Coming right up," Jhon said strutting towards the restaurant kitchen doors.
"How did you know? I love chocolate!"
"I just knew," he stated with a smirk. "You look like a chocolate kinda girl," he smiled.
Hmm I wondered what other desserts I was going to taste tonight.
