So today's the dinner date and I can't wait! I took a shower and quickly blow dried my hair. I then took out my curling wand and while I waited for it to heat up, I took out my makeup. I decided on a natural look like always. I think girls with too much makeup are clowns and should get a life haha. That is what Jenny would say. I applied my makeup and put on my dress. All I needed was my hair.
I started curling my hair, and was already finishing, when my mom popped through the doorway scaring the crap out of me and making me burn my hand.
"Shit! Mom you made me burn myself! Oow it hurts," I screamed.
"Aww I'm sorry sweetie. I didn't mean to barge in on you. I just wanted to tell you that Cole's downstairs in the living room."
What the? Why was Cole here? Ugh if I go downstairs he's going to see me with the dress on! Why today of all days did he want to come over dammit! Well he'll have to find out someday that I'm seeing another guy...
"Alright, I'm coming," I answered her.
So I walked downstairs barefoot towards the living room. Cole was sitting on one of the couches in the living room that faced towards the stairs so when he saw me, his jaw literally dropped.
"Haha what? Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked.
"Damn! I've never seen you this beautiful. What's the occasion?"
"Oh, um I'm going on a dinner date... With a friend."
"Oh is it Jenny?"
"No... it's a guy friend."
"Oh, um," he mumbled looking hurt. "Do I know this guy friend?"
"I don't think so... His name is Jason. He just moved into that new mansion they built, so he's kinda new." It started getting awkward so I just kept talking. "He's coming to our school too this Monday, so you'll probably meet him then."
"Oh alright. That's nice. So I um, came over to ask you if you wanted to go to the movies with me... But I guess you're kinda busy so, I'll just leave." He started to walk towards the door, and I felt soo bad for him. It hurt to see him sad.
"Hey what about tomorrow night? I'm not doing anything..." I suggested.
"Uuh I can't tomorrow."
"Oh. Alright. Maybe another time then?"
"Yeah I'll let you know," he said while he opened the door and walked out. Ugh why does this happen to me? He looked broken. I needed to fix this somehow. Maybe I'll bake him something. Yup, that's what I'll do.
I checked the time and saw it was almost 8:00 P.M.! Shoot! I needed to get my heels on and put lipstick on. I ran up the stairs trying not to trip with my dress. I quickly applied the lipstick and slipped on my heels. There. I was ready.
And just in time too, because right at that second the doorbell rang. He had said he was going to give me a ride so I was looking forward to spending time with him. I went downstairs as fast as I could to try to get to the door before my mom did, but there wasn't a lucky chance for that. She was already inviting him in as I walked down the stairs. It looked like a slow motion kind of movie scene so I walked quickly trying to look like I hadn't planned something like that. That was a little weird. Like who does that in real life?
I went straight to him and gave him a quick hug and shoved him out the door before my mom talked him to death.
"Alright honey! Be safe! Take good care of her Jason! If I find out something bad happened I'll kick your a..." my mom babbled while we got in the car, closed the doors, and thankfully cut off the last part of what she was going to say. How embarrassing! She ruined the start of my night.
