Michi POV
I tried to go to sleep but couldn't. I tossed and turned all night. All I did was stare at the celling. I got out of bed to see if something would make me sleep when Dylan woke up. "Can't sleep," he asked. I nodded my head. "Same," Dylan responded. "Wanna get a snack," Dylan asked. "Ya," I whispered. We walked out of our room and passed Stevin and Sarah's room. We were heading downstairs, when we heard tiny footsteps. I turned around and said, "Stevin, Sarah, what are you doing up." "Couldn't sleep," Sarah said. "Come with us," Dylan sighed. Dylan got milk and I got cookies. "Stevin, grab the plates please," I said. Stevin got the plates and placed them in front of us. I placed the cookies on each plate and Dylan ran to get the glasses to fill with milk. We munch on the cookies and drink the milk. "So why can't you sleep," I asked. "Because we were hoping that after the project ends if they can keep us," Sarah said. I felt sad. They won't keep us. I should know. I always had to participate in thins project and I always get sent back. I'll just have to tell her the truth. "They have an option and they will adopt us," I said with I lying look. Okay, maybe I would have to lie to her. We were enjoying our snack when we heard someone coming down. "Intruders, please leave. If you don't I will get Kaya and she will kick your butt," a male voice said. "Dustin, it's just us," Dylan said. Dustin came down and looked embarrassed. "Your secret is safe with us," Sarah said, trying not to giggle. "Why are you down here," Dustin asked. "Couldn't sleep," we all said. "Want a cookie," Stevin asked. "Nah," Dustin declined. Just then we heard someone coming down. "Dustin," Kaya said, still sleepy. "What are you doing up," Dustin asked. "I turned around and noticed that you weren't there," Kaya said. Just then, the babies began to cry from upstairs. "I'll go," Dylan said. I was about to go when someone put a hand on me. "Michi, Dylan's got this. Can we talk," Dustin asked. Kaya and I looked at him weirdly. I shook my head and we headed to the couch. "If you don't mind me asking, why are you so distant," Dustin asked. I looked down and said, "because I've already have hurt in my life. Keeping myself distant makes sure that I don't get hurt." "Then you would mind me asking something personal. What happened when you were little and how did you get to the adoption agency," Dustin said. My eyes went wide. "I don't want to talk about it. You can just read my file," I said. "They don't show your past in the files," Kaya said. "Well then, can we talk about this tomorrow," I asked. Kaya nodded. I ran upstairs. I made it to my room to see Dylan in bed. "Why do you look like a ghost," Dylan asked. "They asked about what happened in my past," I say. "You didn't tell them," Dylan said. I shook my head. "Well since today has been off, I got you this," Dylan said, handing me a stuffed animal. "Mr.coco," I said. "I thought I lost him," I replied. "You didn't, Kevin and I took him just for fun and I guess we forgot to give him back to you," Dylan said. I glared at him and snatched Mr.Coco out of his hand. "Your forgiven," I said. Dylan shook his head with fear. "For now," I said in an evil tone. Dylan gulped and I laughed and we all fell asleep. That is until this dream came.Hey, hope you like chapter five.
