“Hey Niall I am Kerry” she said as she walked up to him.
“Hey Kerry nice to see you again” Niall said
“do you mind speaking to me alone?” Kerry asked cautiously
“no, no problem” he said with a smile
“Ok so, I am Kerry I don’t know if you remember me but I dated you before X-Factor” she said
“Of course I remember you, you stole my heart then broke it to a bit, and that is hard to forget” he said with a frown but then pulled himself together and apologized.
“What are you talking about you are the one that doesn’t even have the decency to tell her that she is the only thing holding you back from your music career.” She fought back with.
“what are talking about you cheated on me Ryan told me that is why I didn’t break up with you because I couldn’t stand seeing you and knowing that you didn’t love me enough to stay loyal” he continued
“what do you mean I never cheated on you I thought you were my soul mate and I would have never do anything to screw that up.” The fight continued a little but longer till Kerry just got straight to the point. “look I didn’t come here to argue and we probably shouldn’t for the sake of Louis and Bridie but I came here because all I needed was to here from that you, wanted to break up with me. Then I would walk away satisfied and knowing why our fabulous relationship as I thought ended.” She said
“ok “ he said “ I am breaking up with you because..”
He was interrupted by Ryan saying
“Kerry” in a questioning tone “oh, how long have two been talking, hopefully not long, ok good well I will be right back” he said nervously
“wait, Ryan what is going on” Niall said.
“Nothing just hanging with your friends I hope you don’t mind” He said, still sounding nervous.
“yeah of course but Ryan what did you say to Kerry when you broke up with her for me?” Niall said knowing that Kerry was in earshot.
“I just said that cheating had consequences and that you needed to only focus on your music for the time being” he said
“That is false!” Kerry said jumping in “Oh sorry” she said as she backed out.
“No don’t worry” Niall said “Kerry what do you remember him saying?”
“He told me that I was only holding you back and that you needed only to focus on your music and forget about stupid sluts like me because he needed a career not an asshole.” Kerry blurted out.
“why would Ryan say anything like that though?” Niall asked
“he never liked us as a coupld and we sometimes excluded him so he felt neglected and in need of some time with you.” She said
“Ryan is this true?” Niall asked his friend
“NO” Ryan said defensively but then Niall shot him a glance “yes, I just needed time with you before you were famous so you wouldn’t forget about me” Ryan responded disappointed.
“I would never forget about you” Niall told him reassuringly. “So she never cheated on me?” Niall asked
“And he never said that I held him back in his music or that I as an asshole or a slut?” Kelly asked
“Yes to both” Ryan said with his head down in embarrassment.
“Ryan” Niall said “I thought we were friends, how could you do this to me you knew she made me happy”
“Yeah, but…” Ryan tried to finish
“No buts, you ruined it” Niall said as Kerry tried to back away as slowly as she could. “Wait” Niall said without looking over. Kerry froze in place “don’t go anywhere till we figure this out”
“ok I lied nothing was wrong between you two you happy now.” Ryan said exasperatedly
“No, you ruined my life for 3 years I hated commitment and still don’t trust my girlfriend.” Niall said
“Yeah but if I wasn’t for me you wouldn’t be with Cara right now.” Ryan shouted back, Kerry flinched at the name.
“Ryan stop you are just making things worse, oh and don’t think of coming to my hotel tonight get your own room mine is only for friends not backstabbers” Niall said in a very upset tone.
“I am sorry I said anything” Kerry told Niall softly.
“Don’t worry you actually helped me” Niall reassured her “so how would you like to make up for all the lost time and hand out this week as friends though, of course”
“Yeah just friends” Kerry said slowly “that sounds great” even though she was disappointed at least she would be able to hang out with Niall and get to catch up with him. Niall was excited to even though he had a girlfriend he would be able to spend time catching up and hanging out alone together again.
