Once they got back to New York they decided to split and everyone would meet up at the boy’s hotel the following morning and figure things out from there. After they decided the plan everyone gave each other a kiss or hug goodbye and promised to see each other the next day.

The next day, Thursday, meant that the boys only had 2 more days in New York so the girls made sure to treasure the last few days. The girls met the boys at the hotel and decided to eat breakfast with them at the hotel. They really did not know what to do so they just decided to go to one of the museums to explore and see the fake animals.

They had finished at the museum and started going to the Rockefeller restaurant outside. They had decided to walk so that they would get more views and see more of the city. On their way there Kerry received a call from a unknown number. She decided to pick it up anyway though.
“hello” she said
“hello, may we please speak to Kerry” the person on the other line asked
“this is her speaking, may I ask who is calling though?” Kerry asked confused.
“yes, this is grace from the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar” she said “I am calling to tell you that your mother Nancy has been hospitalized with a heart attack and she would like you to come here as soon as possible”
“oh my god, I will be there as soon as I can, Thank you” Kerry said “do you know how bad her condition is?”
“she is not in great condition but she is conscious” Grace said.
“ok thank you” Kerry said hanging up, she tried to grab the nearest pole but missed and fell to her knees.
“Kerry are you ok” Niall yelled trying to catch her.
“no” she responded weakly
“what’s wrong?” Niall asked as the rest of the group circled them.
“my mom is in the hospital, they say she is not in good condition” Kerry just barely got out as she sobbed continuously “she had a heart attack”
“I am so sorry” Niall and everyone else said comforting her to the best of their abilities.
“Sorry guys, you have fun at lunch I need to go pack and catch the next flight out to Dublin” Kerry told then pulling herself together.
“No” Niall said “all of you go on but I am going to help you pack”
“Thanks Niall but it is not necessary” she said
“I will at least get you to your apartment” Niall said. Kerry finally realized that she couldn’t keep him from coming so she just agreed to it. Then Niall and Kerry said goodbye to everyone and she wished the 1D boys luck and hoped to see them again. When they got back to Kerry's apartment she broke down once again. It was almost too much for her to know that her strong mom was vulnerable and sick.
“Niall?” Kerry asked
“yes” he said trying to help her through the tears and hurt.
“will you do something for me?” she asked
“yeah whatever you need” he said compliantly
“will you come back to Mullingar with me? My mom saw you as a son and when she didn’t get to see you she was very upset. Please just one minute that it” she begged
“I would love to, it would be my honor. Truth is I have missed you and your mom in the past years very much.” Niall said
“wait but it could keep you until next week” she said disappointed
“so?” Niall questioned
“you are supposed to meet Cara next week I don’t want to hold you back.” Kerry said
“don’t worry she will understand, I am supporting a friend anyway so how can she argue that.” He said
“Oh thank you very much Niall” Kerry said leaping up and hugging him.
“You’re welcome” Niall said stunned
“I am going to get the tickets online” Kerry told him
“You should go pack a bag from your hotel and I will meet you in front of the airport.” Kerry said
“Ok keep your phone on though” he said
“Ok you too” Kerry said as Niall walked out the door
