Bridie was shocked she knew that he was going to be gone for a while but she thought that what she had with Louis would last that long. She felt tears in her eyes but fought them back so that Louis wouldn’t know. How much it hurt
“hey” Louis said enthusiastically, why had he come? Bridie wondered did he just want to show off his new girlfriend she though angrily.
“why did you come?! To flaunt off your new slut?!” Bridie said angrily, then burst into tears and ran away from him. Louis chased after her and finally cornered her.
“Bridie what is going on?” Louis asked
“why don’t you tell me? I was waiting for my boyfriend when it turns out he has a girlfriend already. I thought we had something special” Bridie said “not just a fling”
“Bridie, calm down, that is my sister Lottie, I just wanted my family to meet you so that they would see why I talk to meet you so that they would see why I talk about, you so much” Louis explained. Bridie looked down in embarrassment.
“I can’t believe I just made a fool of myself” Bridie said ashamed.
“no you didn’t they will understand” Louis said comforting her.
“I called your sister a slut Louis, I was rude and I am so sorry” Bridie said
“I think they will understand” Louis said pulling her up from the ground and giving her a piggy back ride over to his sister who now had the rest of her family.
“Mom, Dad everyone, this is the wonderful and beautiful Bridie, that I was telling you about.” Louis said with a big smile. They all greeted her kindly and introduced themselves. After speaking with them for a little while she pulled Lottie aside.
“Lottie I just wanted to apologize for yelling at you and calling you a slut, I was just upset because I thought you were a new girlfriend, you are really nice so I just wanted to apologize.”Bridie told her
“don’t worry about it” Lottie said “I realize that it probably looked that way since I was holding his hand” she said understandingly. Bridie and Louis then went out to lunch with Louis’ family. At the end of the night Louis’ family left and went back to their hotel and Louis went back to Bridie’s apartment.
