Falling Backwards <3 (one direction fanfic)

chapter 10

 “Hey” Niall said coming up behind her.

“Oh, Hey Niall” Kerry said very excitedly.

“Oh, I am glad it is you because if not it would have been quite awkward.” He joked. She laughed, as they walked they caught up or more like he learned about what was happening in her life since she already really know what was going on in his life. As they were walking she started to feel faint and light headed but decided to just ignore it even though she knew it was not a good idea since she had not eaten breakfast. Just a few minutes later, she fainted. Luckily Niall caught her before she hit the ground. He slowly carried her to a bench. As she came to she was quite confused.

“what happened?” Kerry asked

“You fainted you probably didn’t have breakfast” he said “Let me get you a hot dog”. When he sat down next to her with the hot dog

“You remembered that I fainted when I didn’t eat a meal” she said in an astonished voice.

“yes of course I remember in first period history you would always faint because you didn’t get out of bed fast enough for breakfast” Niall said “and then you would get detention, so I would get one to at some point in the day so I could hang out with you” he said smiling.

“Wow, yeah those were the best of times” Kerry said

“So what happened in Mullingar after I left?” he asked “I asked my mom but she never knew the inside scoop”

“well after you left I got detention still but was upset so I just started flunking and then my dad started getting drunk because he lost his job and he was upset that I was flunking and always sad so he would beat me” she said “so, basically I don’ t really know what happened at school sorry, but I didn’t really care about my dad anyway” Kerry finished

“I am so sorry I didn’t know I would have that big an impact on you by leaving” Niall said sympathetically.

“it’s ok, the worst part though is that he made my mom watch.” Kerry continued “my mom would watch as he beat me and cry begging him to stop. But when I realized that I had to change was when I hit rock bottom and tried suicide, but I am glad that it was a failed attempt because I got to see you.” Kerry had finished.

“Kerry I am worried, how could I let this happen I mean I was still mad at you but still, oh god, that is terrible” Niall felt so bad and he suddenly stopped and gave her a hug.

“thanks” she said. They walked quietly for a little while but then they went through the shop part of the park.

“hey Niall lets go try on some clothes and take funny photos” Kerry suggested. After a lot of laughter and fun they were finally kicked out and chased after by a screaming woman yelling in a different language. They ran away laughing and as they were having fun so where their friends Louis and Bridie who were on a date that was going wonderfully.
