Favonious Falcon's Perspective
With a dazzling smile and sigh of sorrow, I welcomed out the next pair of tributes. "Everyone, please welcome our next guests, Sophie Swan and Brody Ellis!"
The two of them made their way out, proving their distance from one another as they kept at least two feet between each other. Even through their smiles and waves to the crowd, I could see that they either hated this or each other.
They both shook my hand and sat on the couch. Sophie wore a strapless royal blue and white short dress with her dark hair in short waves. Brody matched her in a black tuxedo with a blue dress shirt and white flower out of the pocket.
"So, Sophie, Brody, welcome! Are you both excited for tomorrow?" I asked.
"Definitely." Brody grinned maliciously. Sophie shot him a look of disgust.
"How about you, Sophie?" I asked her.
"I am absolutely dreading tomorrow! I don't want to go in the tomorrow but I have taken it upon myself to be strong once I'm on that pedestal." Sophie explained.
"Oh, you'll do fine!" I encouraged.
"Oh, yeah, thanks. I bet I'll do great in a televised fight to the death." She spat sarcastically. There's that hidden fire, the hidden hatred of the Games that no tribute before her had shown.
Sophie sighed. "I'm sorry. I get sarcastic when I'm nervous."
"Nervous? What are you most nervous about?" I asked politely, not wanting to anger her.
"The kind of arena. In some of the arenas, they don't include survival equipment. I hope that isn't the case tomorrow." She answered.
"Well, if it makes you feel any better, you can count on the fact I will supply your alliance with a sponsor gift." I smiled in pure honesty.
Sophie smiled warmly. I turned my attention to Brody.
"What will be your tactics tomorrow, Brody?" I read from the first question slip.
"Oh, they will include bloodshed, I assure." He chuckled darkly. This kid was beginning to scare me.
"Any weapon of choice?" I asked.
"A sword." He said.
"Excellent. Any, per se, threats?" I continued.
"Not threats but I've created a hit list." Brody said.
"Who's on it?" I leaned in conspiratorially. Sophie leaned away from her District partner in fear.
"You'll find out soon enough." Brody's eyes glinted murderously.
"I guess we have an agricultural Career on our hands!" I laughed to the audience.
I wished the two of them good luck in the Games and stood up. "Our tributes from District Eleven, Sophie Swan and Brody Ellis!"
The two of them joined hands and lifted them victoriously. Sophie pulled her grip from Brody's and glared at him. "That hurt!" She hissed which caused the audience to giggle.
They began to walk out but I caught Brody's murderous look he gave her, his eyes shooting daggers. And that's when I realized those daggers might not be the only thing he ever fired at Sophie starting tomorrow.
