Favonious Falcon's Perspective
I smiled at Alissa and Dominic from Three who had just finished their dual interview. Now it was time for District Four, an interesting set of tributes.
"Please welcome to the stage, the tributes from District Four, Annalise Reynolds and Mike Samuel!" I cheered happily as the crowd got on their feet to welcome them on.
They both walked out, arm in arm, laughing and smiling to to the theme music. Annalise, with her curly blonde hair straightened, wore a dress with a black bodice that cut into a turquoise chiffon skirt. Running through the top half of the dress was a single intricate silver laurel strap that started at her waist, crossed over her chest, and went over her right shoulder. Mike, on the other hand, wore a black tuxedo with a turquoise dress shirt and silver tie.
They waved to the crowd and shook my hand. Then they sat down on the couch opposite me.
"So, Annalise and Mike, how are you both?" I asked.
"Exhausted." Annalise said bluntly. The crowd laughed before settling down.
"What do you mean?" I chuckled.
"We had to wake up really early so we could start getting ready for tonight. So we're both pretty much sleep deprived." Annalise explained.
"Well, it paid off. You both look fantastic." I complimented. It was true, the stylists this year are extraordinary.
They thanked me and smiled.
"Let's get to some fan questions shall we?" I pulled out a question from the bowl. "To Mike: if you were a Gamemaker, what attraction would you put in the arena?"
Mike's eyebrows furrowed together. "That's a tough one. Id have to go with some kind of mutt. They're terrifying!"
"They always give me jumpscares." I chuckled and the crowd laughed.
"More than just jumpscares for us." Annalise mumbled.
"Anyways, how have you both prepared for the Games?" I asked.
"Besides from training," Annalise started. "We both have some experience back home. In Four, my parents make fishing nets and hooks so that's useful."
"I spent every second in the Training Center and forced myself to stay until I had visited every station. I mean, they're set up for a reason, right? But Annalise is right when she says living in Four has helped. I know how to fish and use a trident." Mike explained.
"So you're like a miniature Finnick Odair!" I said, earning cheers and laughs from the audience.
"I can think of a lot of things Finnick and I don't have in common." Mike laughed. "Besides, call me a terrible District Four citizen, but I'm not using a trident."
"Really?" I arched by eyebrows in surprise.
"Yeah, I'll be using a spear or some throwing knives." Mike said honestly.
"Oh, right. Paisley from One said that she knew you had intentions to steal the knives from her." I said mysteriously.
"Well, the girl might be a mind reader because she won't get them as long as I'm alive." Mike laughed.
The crowd laughed with him.
"Annalise, how's your alliance?" I asked, turning the attention to her.
"They're good." She said bluntly.
"That's it? Any details?" I asked with a laugh.
"You'll have to wait and see." Annalise said.
I smiled. "It's been great, you two. I wish you both the best of luck in your Hunger Games tomorrow."
We all stood up simultaneously. I faced the crowd. "Annalise Reynolds and Mike Samuel."
The crowd roared with applause and cheering that I couldn't help but cheer them offstage.
