Astra's Pov
It only took three days before Toshiaki was completely healed. When he woke up, he didn't panic like I expected him to do but instead he was calm and listened to what I had to say about what happened when he was unconscious.
"So he's going to travel with us," Toshiaki asks as he gets out of the bed. I nod my head and say yes, he stays quiet.
"Should I not have accepted the deal?" I ask when he stays quiet.
"No, it's just that I feel that this story doesn't make sense. I think that he's hiding something from us but I'm not sure what so I don't know if we can trust him even if he did take an oath not to harm us," Toshiaki says sighing and running his hand through his hair. "But for now we can just keep an eye on him, since we already got the million year old root now, let's head to the next place. It's faster to get the water from a hidden spring located in the Suviel Kingdom so that's where we will head next."
"Alright, I am already packed and so is Shin so we can head out now," I tell Toshiaki who nods and we both exit the room to search for Shin. Chiyo decided to keep an eye on him so after I gave her a small amount of my powers, she now has a human form. Toshiaki and I find Chiyo where I Shin and I made the oath that he wouldn't harm us. Chiyo is watching his every move and Shin doesn't seem affected by her stare. "Toshiaki woke up Chiyo, Shin," I say and they both look at us.
"Ok, I suppose it's time we leave now," Shin says hands me a root, "This is one of my best, now that we leave you can take it," he says and I take it from him, placing it in my space ring and nod my head in thanks to him. "Also I'm glad you used the medicine, I wouldn't want to be the one responsible for you having a scar on your beautiful face and I'm sure you want to be pretty for your prince, right?" He asks smiling and I just ignore him. Like he said though, I did apply the medicine and my faint scars instantly healed.
"It will take us at least three months as long as we don't run into any trouble to reach the Suviel Kingdom and get the water from the hidden spring, though because of the location of the hidden spring, we will run into many problems such as the risk of being trapped in an illusion in the forest." Shin says.
"That will be no problem, from what I know, if we eat a certain plant that grows inside the forest then the illusion will not affect us so we should first find the plant before getting the water," Toshiaki says calmly.
"But the Illu plant is not easy to find. In fact because many people have taken them before they could grow back, there are very few now and if there is any then they are protected by the forest spirits," Shin and I say at the exact same time. We both look at each other and Shin smiles, "You are very smart Astra, I'm very surprised you know so much."
"It simply because I read it in one of the books I have so I know quite a lot about this world and the things that are in it," I tell him not bothered that he thought that I wouldn't know something such as this.
"Then we will simply have to be careful," Toshiaki says sighing. "Let's just go, as Shin said we have about a three month journey so we shouldn't waste time right now. When we get there, we will come up with a better plan," Toshiaki says and walks away. Shin's place is near the bottom of the mountain but hidden in a spot where no one could see so we walk past many trees, swamps, etc. Once we reach a bridge, we had to go one at a time because it wasn't sturdy, how Shin got us across I have no idea.
The trip took us a few more day more than a few months but in the end we reached the Suviel Kingdom's forest where the water we need should be located. The first month was easy and we ran into no problems, Toshiaki just ignored Shin while Chiyo kept a close eye on him while sticking close to me in her spirit beast form because she says that she doesn't like her human form. I also kept an eye on him but over time I began to trust him and we became close. We talk about many different plants and medicines and Shin teaches me many different things about plants but he isn't able to show me a lot about medicines because he only raises plants. The second month I was accidentally spotted by someone and so my family sent people after me. Even though I know it's not their fault for not believing in me, I just didn't want to see them right now because I already got use to being alone again and if I see them I will become weak and lose focus of my goal.
"We're finally here," Chiyo says and turns into her human form.
"Yes, also as I can see, we already aren't welcomed here," I say after we entered the forest. We keep walking around in circles and if I do find a way for us not to and stay on the correct path, the forest changes and we are back to square one. Shin and Toshiaki were arguing behind me so I told them to be quiet. Once it was quiet I begin talking again.
"So it would be best if you hold hands so we don't get separated," I finish what I was trying to say only to look behind me and see no one. "So I spoke to late," I say sighing. The forest must have separated us so I guess now is the most dangerous part, I just have to make sure I don't get caught in the illusion." But I jinxed and was knocked out but a branch, what the illusion I saw next, I was not ready. Who would have thought I would have to relive those moments of my life. Hopefully, I will be able to make it out of the illusion, but since I am back here I might as well say my chances of returning is close to 0.
Ling: Ok everyone here is another chapter that is rushed. But can you guess what will happen next and where Astra will be when she wakes up? Comment what you think please. Also, I have an essay and a project that I need to finish so I probably won't update Two Worlds One Soul so I apologize but I promise I will give you the chapter I owe you. Also Illu plant is just illusion plant but shortened since I'm not being creative right now. That's all and thanks if you understand, I'm almost out of school soon so when I do I will just tell you this now, there is going to be more chapters updater. Also please comment below which of the following things you would like for me to do
1.) Finish this story quickly because all the chapters are rushed and are terrible because of it
