Kingdom in Ruin

Astra's Pov

When we all wake up we get ready and start going to the kingdom again.   We travel for a long time without resting but no one was tried.   We get on a boat and travel for days until we finally reach land.  By the time we reach the entrance of the kingdom , the environment was terrible.  Along the way there was abandoned villages, burned down trees and forest areas that were cut down.  We all can see that there are wild beasts, no not spirit beasts, just beasts, roaming around.  When we get to the entrance, there are many run down houses and the air is gloomy and dark.  Many people that are thin as sticks where you can see their bones are sitting outside looking half dead.  There's a terrible stench  of death in the air.

"This is terrible," Chiyo says not standing to see them.  Shin covers her eyes and even he didn't like looking at what this kingdom has become. 

"Let's find a place where we can gather information first, then we can plan our next move." I say looking for an inn.  I didn't want to be outside seeing all of this and we all begin searching for a place to stay.  In the end we stay at the inn called, Garden.  It's a fairly decent inn that seems at least somewhat clean and safe.  Us girls get a room and the boys get one too.  Right now we are in the boys room planning our strategy and what we are going to be doing right now.

"We should first split up and search for some information about the kingdom," Uncle Hisoka says.  "Shin and I will try to figure out some information in the castle so we will sneak in and speak with the guards and servants.  Lily and Rose, you both should try see how the situation is here.  If we are going to stay here, we should at least try to fix the kingdom before we leave.  It can be dangerous if things are left the way they are.  Astra, you and Chiyo will walk around the area and try to get some information from the people about what the king usually does.  His interest, weaknesses, places he goes, etc."  Once we are given our orders, we all set out to focus on our part.  We don't leave anything in the room just in case if we are robbed.  Uncle Hisoka and Shin heads towards the castle.  Once they do, Lily and Rose leave us alone.

"Let's first change so we don't stand out," I say to Chiyo and she nods.  We head back to the room for a minute and making sure we are still in our human forms, we change into cheap clothes that are similar to the clothes.  We both also change the color of our hairs to black and brown so we don't stand out with our bright colored hair.  So in the end I have black hair and my normal colored eyes.  I wear a set of boy clothes that's long pants and a t-shirt.  I tie my hair off to the side and now I look like a boy somewhat but still a little bit like a girl.  Well it would be hard to figure out my gender I will just leave it as that.  Chiyo's hair is brown and she is wearing the same thing as me.

"Ok, now we should go," she says and I nod.  First we start investigating back alleys and listening to drunk or poor people complain.  We get information that the king just stated that he is planning on getting married and is looking for a wife.  So now even more young girls are being taken from their families.  These men clearly are angry that their daughters, and even some wives that are being taken.  Next we go to a bar and sit in the back corner.  Since we didn't eat at all in a while, both of us started to get hungry.  I order some soup and bread and Chiyo orders some meat and a drink.  Surprisingly this bar has good food and when we got our orders, my soup is fresh and warm and the bread is too.  Chico's meat doesn't look old and her drink doesn't seem to have anything in it, same with the foods.

The one who took our order is a young girl with brown hair and red eyes.  I pay her extra because she is kind enough to ask us if everything is all right and if we wanted to change our order.  I take it that most guys around here must order something but when she comes and brings them their order, they complain so she asks out of a habit.
