Ling: Hi everyone, sorry I didn't update Thursday. I have some reviews that I have to complete and school is almost over so I have to focus on keeping my grades as an A so I might no be updating after this until school is over on June 16th. Also warning, I'm not sure if you will find this chapter sad but I do know that I am though it's not well written.

Astra's Pov

After erasing Kiara and Misaki's memories, the four of us traveled aimlessly not knowing what to do.  The next on the list is a core of a young spirit beast but we all obviously aren't going to kill an innocent child.

"What should we do?" Chiyo asks.

"I don't know," I answer back since the two guys refuse to take part in the conversation.  "Lets just, get the blood from someone who has a purple spirit ring and that almost reached a black spirit ring level first." I say and we all nod in agreement.  But the question is, where do we start?

In the end we end up just traveling around the countries in our spirit beast forms except for Toshiaki since he can't be in his right now.  Suddenly we hear the cry of a small animal, or rather spirit beast.  We all look at each other and nod before rushing to where we heard the cry for help.  We see a small kitten surrounded by men and she is injured.  Not far from her is the dead body of an older cat but demon spirit beast.  From the looks of it, these people are hunters who kill you spirit beasts to sell their core.

"They disgust me," Chiyo says and I nod my head in agreement.

"How dare they try to kill a young spirit beast," I say nodding my head.

"As an older spirit beast, I must say that I seriously hate it when I run into these types of people,' Shin says.

"..." Tosiaki says nothing but I can see him glaring at these people.

So after this we see Toshiaki create a ball of fire and throw it at the men. The little spirit beast is cowering trapped so I decide to separate them and put up a barrier of wind.

"Ahhhhhh!" One man screams and and they all jump back. The man that is burning from Toshiaki's fire is pulled away from the wall of wind I created but he continues to burn. One man then tries to put out the fire with water but that will not be enough to put out the flames of a fire dragon.

Finally before the man dies I stop the fire from spreading and he's luck he didn't die yet.

"Leave now, if we ever catch you harming another young spirit beast again, then don't blame this prince for not warning you and killing you all," Toshiaki says in a dominating voice.

"Boss, these spirit beast and that young child are too strong for us, even if it's that boy that only attacked us," one of the men say to a man who I presume is the leader of this pathetic group.

"Tch, let's get out of here," the leader says and grabs the man who is badly burned.

We let them go and focus on the young spirit beast kitten.

"Are you alright?" Toshiaki asks concerned.

"Thank you for saving me but I think I'm going to die," she says weakly.

"Don't say that, I can heal you," I say and get out my medicines. When I try to feed them to her she shakes her small head.

"I don't want to live in this world anymore, I lost papa and he was the only one I had left to live for," she says.

"Don't say that, Astra can heal you. You are too young to die and you should be able to see more of the world." Toshiaki says scoldingly.

"No thanks, I've seen more of it than I wanted to, humans are selfish creatures who only desire power," she says. "You are all spirit beasts, or at least half," saying this she surprises us. "An are you perhaps the lost prince of the fire dragons kings son?"

'How did you know this," he says shocked.

"It's because I saw it, I have the power to see into the future and past," she says, "Last night I had a dream where I knew these men were going to attack and you all would save me."

"If you knew you were going to be attacked, why didn't you do something about it?" I asks gently.

"I told you, humans are selfish creature, I no longer want to live with them, instead I just want to see my mother and father now," she says with tears in her eyes.

"Prince Toshiaki, I know that you need a young spirit beasts core, will it be alright to use mine," she asks him shocking us again.

"What! No, be a good girl and take the medicine," Toshiaki says and takes the medicine out of my hands and tries to give it to her.

"No! I want you to use my core so you can return back to normal, you've suffered more than me. Also I've also always wanted to be of use to someone because I've always burdened my papa. Please, will you grant me this last wish," she asks pleadingly.

"..."

"Alright," Toshiaki says sighing and the joy on her face can't be explained in words.

"Thank you," she says smiling, "Oh and also I have something to tell both you royals," she says to both me and Toshiaki.

"You will meet him soon," she says to me confusing me, "But you wont recognize him."

"You will find someone you love, but you wont be together with the one your in love with right now. Instead you will find someone else who needs you," she says to Toshiaki.

"Huh," we both say at the same time. She yawns quietly.

"It's almost time. I'm going to sleep now, goodnight," she says smiling gratefully to all of us. When she closes her eyes, her breathing slows down until it comes to a stop and she dies.

I silently cry at the loss of an innocent life and so does Chiyo. Shin keeps her close to him and Toshiaki stares at her wordlessly.

Kneeling down and gently picking up her small body he says, "Thank you," with his eyes closed and his forehand against her own. Toshiaki places his hand on her back and it glows a gentle red color. Then in his hand is a core of a young spirit beast. None of us say a word after this and dig a grave for the young spirit beast and her father. Once they are buried in the ground, I turn into my human and wolf form and pick up a large rock and place it in from of their grave as a marker. I also plant some flowers and a sapling of a tree. One thought crosses through my mind as we all silently turn and leave, '

'We don't even know her name. She never deserved to die so young. Humans, I do agree, they are very selfish and cruel creatures.'
