Astra's Pov

It's now late at night after we got the fourth ingredient I needed to turn Toshiaki back to normal. Everyone else is asleep but I couldn't.  I can feel someone watching me, but strangely I don't feel threatened by this person.  Finally, I decide to stand up and walk around.  I take one last look at Shin, Toshiaki, and Chiyo, before I walk away.  I don't know why, but I am drawn to the north.  I feel like I have to go there, and I will meet that person who is watching me. I come to a stop when I reach a river.  Across the river, up in a tree, is the boy I saw with the king of all spirit beasts.

"We meet again," I say surprised that I can recognize him after so long.

"Yes, we meet again," he says coolly.

He is dressed exactly the same, all in black clothing.  His blue eyes stare into my reddish purple and blueish green ones and I know they are so familiar but something is blocking my memory.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"Who am I?  Well who are you?  You aren't who I thought you were, you had my memory erased,"  he says coldly.

"So you know that now, well you are incredibly strong right now," I say and the look in my eyes turn cold and I am now serious.  "I do not want anyone finding out that I am a half spirit beast, so I would appreciate it if you would keep quiet about this, after all it appears that you know who I am as a human."

"You are Astra, but who are you right now?" He asks not bothered by the cold look in my eyes.

"Well it's not like you will find about my other identity since you still are not strong enough, even though you are stronger than me.  So, I wont tell you," I say smiling and tilting my head.

This annoys him.  "So your saying you wont trust me?" he asks coldly.

"Well, for one, you haven't told me who you are.  How should I know if you are an enemy or not?" I say raising an eyebrow while looking at him distrusting.

"Astra, I will never be your enemy," he says in such a serious voice that I can't help but believe him, even though people normally wouldn't trust the person even more now if they are in my position.

"Eh?  What do you-," he suddenly grabs me and quickly moves my body behind his.  I see an arrow in his shoulder and my eyes widen as I realize that he protected me.  "Why did you protect me?!"  I shout at him in concern.

"Because, well even though you don't trust me, don't you think by doing something like this will earn your trust," he says somewhat smirking but in the end he bites his lip from the pain.  "The arrow seems to be poisoned." He adds.

"Let me take a look at it," I say and examine his wound.  I run a test and soon find out that the poison is meant for a spirit beast to kill him or her.  But on a human the effect is not as deadly and will only cause slight pain and weakness for a short period of time, that is meaning until six hours has passed.  During those six hours, the human will not be able to use his or her spirit rings leaving them completely defenseless.

"Here, take these pills.  They will numb the pain, but you wont be able to use your spirit rings for at least six hours.  So it's best that you don't move around right now," I say and lean his against a tree.  I pull out a blanket and cover him then sit down next to him.

"What are you doing?"  He asks frowning.  "You can just leave me here, I wont be able to stop you."

"Yes, but you saved my life, so its the least I can do for you by staying by your side." I tell him and stare up into the sky.  "Really, I don't know why, but around you, I feel safe and comfortable.  Just like when I'm with him."  The boy says nothing except moves the blanket so it's covering me too.

"Let's just sleep," he says and closes his eyes.  I wait for a while and when his breathing is even and he falls asleep, I close my eyes and lean my head against his shoulder.

"Goodnight," I whisper before I drift of into my dreams of the past when I was with the third prince.

"Goodnight Astra," a faint voice echoes back.

When I wake up, I notice that no one is sleeping by my side.  Looking around, I can't find the mysterious boy and that must mean that he left earlier.  I stand up and put the blanket away, but just as I was doing that, I see a note and an object fall to the ground.    The note says Thank You, and the object is a beautiful silver necklace thats flat and has the name, Satoshi engraved onto it.

"Is that his name?" I ask myself as I hold the necklace up in the air, staring at it, and the only answer I get is the wind blowing leaves up into the air and then quietness.
