Well, well, well, would you look at that? I updated! THE PUMA HAS STRUCK.

I'll warn you now, per special request of hanbanan14, this is indeed a pancakey chapter, hehe...

If you don't like that stuff the squiggles will guide you through the maze. Good luck!

I am very much enjoying listening to this HOUR LONG once soundtrack above as I'm writing. It's fantastic and I definitely recommend listening. I swear it's bringing me to tears with season 1 feels.

As usual, please do leave your thoughts in the comments and vote if you like it! Enjoy reading!

Writer's P.O.V:

When Emma awoke the next morning she found herself wrapped up in Killian's arms, cuddled up warmly to his chest. She sighed, turning over to rest her head on his bare chest. She ran her fingers along his chest, tracing little designs, reflecting on this little moment of peace they had.

She sat up carefully and straddled his waist, planting kisses on his shoulders, up his neck, along his jawline, and finally his lips.

Killian found himself stirring to the touch of his love, a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth as he resisted the urge to show her he was awake.

However, he wasn't able to resist long as he kissed her back, moving his hands to hold her hips.

"Morning beautiful," he said with a loving smile, rolling them over so he was on top. He captured her lips once more, nuzzling his nose against hers.

"Morning," Emma replied, short of breath with a dazed smile on her face.

"Good to be home, huh?" he said, kissing down her neck.

"It's perfect," she whispered, tilting her head sideways to grant him better access.

"Mmm," she moaned, bringing his lips back to her own. "What time is it?"

Killian looked over at the clock beside their bed and laughed to himself.

"5:00 in the morning, bloody jet lag," he said, shaking his head.

"You hungry?"

"At 5:00 in the bloody morning?" he asked with a laugh.

"Why not?"

"Point taken."

Emma got out of bed, slipping on a fluffy robe and slippers and heading downstairs to the kitchen as Killian slugged himself out of bed.

She poured pancake batter into a pan on the oven, flipping them over when each side was golden brown.

As she slid the last two onto a dish on the side, she felt Killian's presence behind her, smiling lightly as she felt his nose brush against her cheek.

"Something smells delicious," he whispered, his lips at her ear.

"It's just from a box," Emma replied with a grin, leaning into his touch.

"I wasn't talking about the pancakes," Killian whispered, nipping at her ear as Emma bit her lips.

"Do you think we have some time 'till the kids get up?"

"Aye, they'll be tired. They stayed up late with us yesterday and Molly's sick. They won't be up for a bit," Killian said with a smirk.

"Well... we could eat this stuff or, " Emma said, straddling Killian's hips, "we could do something more enjoyable?" she suggested, biting her bottom lip.
