Four months later...
Sunday, September 12th.
Emma's P.O.V:
"But mommy I don't wanna go back to school tomorrow!" Henry whines as I get him dressed. He already lucked out getting a longer summer. Last year they started school at the very end of August.
I have no idea why they couldn't just give the kids the last two days of August.
"Baby, you already had extra days of summer. Now come on, we've gotta go get your stuff. Molly's already ready," I say, combing his hair.
"I'm not a baby, I'm six," Henry grumbles, holding up six finger and proceeding to ruin his hair that I've just fixed. I sigh. This is the best I'm gonna get.
"Right. Well if your such a big boy they go wait at the door with Molly, okay?"
Henry nods skipping off to Molly and instantly they go through some kind of handshake that they developed.
Kids.
"Hey, you," Killian says, wrapping his arms around me and kissing my cheek from behind. I smile at his touch, hugging his arms as we look into the mirror, my ring glinting in our reflection.
"You recording songs today?" I ask, tracing my fingers along his hand.
"No, just writing from home today, love," Killian smiles, resting his chin on my shoulder with ease.
"Sounds fun."
Killian smiles, kissing my cheek again, and holds me closer.
"You're so small," Killian grins.
"Stop it," I laugh, playfully fighting to get out of his hold.
"No, I love it, it's a good thing. Means I can hold you right here and hide you from anybody who tries to take you away from me," Killian says genuinely.
"Yeah, well," I start, pausing to turn in his arms and kiss him softly, "I don't think anyone could take me away from you. I love you a little too much."
"Just a little?" Killian smirks, our lips still inches apart.
"Mmm maybe a little more than a little," I grin, biting my lip.
"Mommy, Molly says no more kisses, come on!" Henry shouts from the door. We look over to find Molly scowling, her arms crossed over her chest.
Killian chuckles, kissing me once more before letting go.
I give him a quick wink on my way out, as he mouths 'I love you,' and head over to the kids.
"Okay. Who is ready for some shopping?" I say and sign at the same time. Henry groans while Molly jumps up and down. I laugh at their opposite reactions, lifting Molly up and holding her on one hip while holding Henry's hand with my other arm.
Mall, here we come.
Killian's P.O.V:
Emma flashes me a wink as she leaves, picking up Molly into her arms. I do believe that my heart stops a moment every time I see them together.
The moment they're out of the house, I get to work.
I call up Regina and my mum, along with Zelena and Ruby, Will and my father, Liam and Robin, David and Mary-Margret. I'll need all the help I can get.
