Emma's P.O.V:

I'm late.

I'm late.

I'm late.

Time has slowed down. My whole world is warped as the sentence repeats itself over and over in my mind, echoing in my head.

I'm late.

I know I shouldn't get my hopes up. God, I can't get my hopes up. I know that the only thing it's going to get me is a higher chance if disappointment. But for some reason, my brain seems adamant on working against me, and hope is the only thing coursing through me. Excited happiness expresses itself in my smile when what I'm saying seems to sink in for Killian.

"Late... you're la- you're LATE?!" Killian suddenly exclaims, jumping up excitedly. I nod, covering my mouth to calm myself down.

"We don't know what this means, though. It could be another false alarm," I say, trying to be rational. But it's so damn hard. Because I'm late. And I haven't been late once the entire time we've been trying.

"Well, what are we waiting for?! Do we have any tests left?!" Killian asks, rushing to the bathroom to check before I can answers. He comes back to the living room holding a box with the last few sticks we have left hands hands them to me in excitement.

"Mommy... daddy... why are you yelling?" Henry's sleepy voice comes from behind us. We turn around in surprise.

"Sorry, lad," Killian apologizes. "Let's head back to bed, hm?" he offers, giving me an apologetic look as he lifts Henry up and a placed a kiss on his head.

Take it, Killian mouths to me as he carries Henry back to his room.

If I take it now, it should be done by the time Killian has gotten Henry to sleep again. Then we can look at it together.

But I don't want to wait alone.

I take the test on four sticks, leaving them all in the bathroom, then follow Killian to the kids' room. I smile, watching Killian tuck Henry in and sing him a little lullaby. Then he moves to Molly, pressing a kiss to her forehead and pulling her covers up higher just in case. Finally, he turns to see me, a sad smile growing on his face.

"Hey, love," he says softly, opening his arms to me knowingly. I sink into his embrace without a moment of hesitation and let out a heavy breath.

"Tell me what you're thinking," my husband whispers, holding me close. I shake my head, nuzzling further into his chest.

"Probably the same thing you are," I mumble.

Killian looks down into my eyes and I can see every emotion I  feel reflected in him.

"Not ready to be disappointed again... not again..." Killian says for the both of us. I nod in agreement, tucking my head under his chin.

After ten minutes, the timer goes off. It's time.

"Your turn, darling..." Killian mumbles. "I broke the news last time, I don't want to do it again," he admits. I nod in understanding, pressing a kiss that says it all to his lips.

"I love you," I whisper, swallowing thickly. Killian smiles, blinking back tears.

"I love you too, Swan," he chokes, avoiding my eyes when his tears fall. I reach up, wiping them away with care, and lay a kiss where each one fell.

"Okay..." I whisper. "Here goes."

I walk into the bathroom, looking back once more at Killian for an extra boost of strength, and turn to the tests. I flip them over, one by one.

They all show the same result.

Tears cloud my vision and the sobs start.

My knees hit the ground.

Killian rushes in, immediately getting down to my level. His arms are around me within seconds, holding me tightly to keep me breathing.

"Emma, let me see," Killian pleads, rocking me gently.

I don't give him the sticks.

Instead, I look up at him with the widest smile I've ever worn.

"We're having a baby," I cry, falling against his chest. His expression lights up in seconds, quickly swiping the sticks away from me. He's in awe.

"W-we're having a baby?" Killian asks in disbelief, crying right along with me.

"Yeah," I manage, catching my breath as I pull myself to straddle his lap. I cup his face happily, admiring the joy he wears. His expression is everything. The smile on his face makes it so worth the wait we've suffered through.

Killian's breath shakes as he holds me close, fingers caressing my sides lovingly. His fingers lace through mine, together lifting my shirt and resting our hands there.

"Hello, little one," Killian says happily, pressing a kiss to my belly. "It's your daddy," he says sweetly.

"And mommy," I whisper, the widest smile I cant make resting on my face. I lean my forehead against Killian's in relief, unable to restrain my happiness.

We sit there on the bathroom floor for almost another half hour, just holding each other in happiness. Talking to our baby. Then we move to the couch with me leaning back against Killian's chest. We talk about anything and everything. All the milestones we'll get to reach with the baby.
Planning all the ways we're going to spoil him or her rotten.

"I wonder if we could have a nursery," I wonder out loud, picturing a pastel colored room with a crib and a mobile with Killian's voice humming a lullaby in it.

"There are two guest rooms in the house... We could always use the guest room next to our room," Killian suggests, pressing kisses to my neck  and under my ear. I smile, leaning into his touch, and sigh happily.

"Picture for the fans?" I offer. Killian glances at me in surprise.

"Really?" he asks. I nod.

"I know you want to. Let's tell them," I smile, stretching my neck up to kiss him.

He snaps the picture.

In it, our hands rest together over my belly. Our lips are barley brushing as our foreheads lay together. It's beautiful.

"We are absolutely making an album, and that is going in it," I smile.

@killianjones1- Me and my magnificent wifey have some special news... a little one is on the way!

The excited comments roll in without a second to spare.

We make a FaceTime call, letting the family know with beaming smiles on our faces.

The next morning, we wake up Molly and Henry bright and early with enough time to tell them before school.

"So... mommy and daddy have something to tell you," I say, Molly in my lap and Henry in Killian's.

"How do you two feel about a little brother or sister?" Killian asks.

Molly's face lights up.

"Little brother?" she gasps.

"Cool!" Henry grins.

"Or sister," I correct. Molly scowls.

"No mommy. No sisters. Only I can be a princess," she insists. Killian grins, glancing over at me knowingly.

"Oh my two girls, always so jealous for daddy's attention," Killian smirks, leaning over to kiss me.

"Ewww later," Henry complains, pushing us apart. We laugh setting them free to get ready for school.

Finally... things are the way they should be.
