CHAPTER TEN : COUNT ME IN

Blame my nurse.

I did because before I could walk into the room where I saw Graham,
she called me ,informing me that patients were already teeming the lobby.

You can't blame her; she's doing her job.

I know, I know.
But I kind of still do.

After a day full of appointments I was finally off and decided to call Joan, who was Graham's sister.

His phone was out of reach for some unimaginable reason.

She'd know whats up with him. Right?

Thats what I thought.
The receiver answered after a few rings.
"Hello?"

"Hey Joan,it's me Melanor, remember? "

"Of course cookie monster I do, so what can I do for you"

"Is your brother sick? Because I saw him earlier this evening in the hospital?"

"Seriously? As far as I know,no, he's not sick in fact been healthy for a long time."

"Oh,alright was wondering. He's not answering his phone so ask him whats up will ya,"

Joan chuckled and replied,
"Yah sure, what were you doing in the hospital anyway, are you sick?"

I guess Alec hasn't told her yet.
I sighed and replied,
"Nope, I'm not.actually I work at the hospital,I am a doctor just don't tell Graham."

"Oh seriously I didn't know, yah yah I won't ,he's terrified of them which makes it all the more weird you saw him in the hospital, okay got to go then, bye." She ended cheerfully

"Bye." I replied before ending the call.

I was confused. I was itching to know what was up with Graham because when I saw him in there he looked pale and weak, not the Graham I was used to seeing.

I drove home ,this time not forgetting that we shifted and arrived there sooner than usual because there was not much traffic and I didn't forget the route.

I opened the door to the house to find El sleeping on the couch and Jjangu was comfortably sleeping on her face.

It was a surprise she hadn't woken up.

In an attempt to be silent as possible, I took light steps to the staircase
but me being me, I tripped and went crashing to the floor dropping my bag and all with a loud thud.

Jjangu Woke up and meowed loudly.

"Shshh!" I said to the cat even though I knew she won't understand me but surprisingly Jjangu didn't make a noise again.

She understood me thankfully.

She moved her head slightly before resting it on top of her paws and dozing off again

Awww,how cute.

What do you expect its a Cat

No one asked you pixel

Stop being rude!

Well,bare with it.

I have, for 21 years.

I rolled my eyes and slowly got up and continued my mission to get to the stairs silently, this time cautiously so that I don't trip again.

I couldn't say that my day was amazing because I saw mudskipper at least once and that was enought to bring in a hurricane into my day that never leaves.
