CHAPTER FOURTEEN : REALIZATIONS

If there is one thing Elara had mastered, it was definitely the ability to arrive right on time,
Not early not late but,

Simply on time.

It had saved her quite a few times.

Who wants to get yelled at in front of 50 plus students afterall?

Elara was ready to murder someone in her course.

It happened as often as it rained but why do annoying spoiled weirdos have to go and tell the professor every time they were finally free?

She really hadn't Spoken to Melanour properly in ages.Elara was dying to know a lot of things.

She was dying to know what was bothering Mel. It was obvious. as much as she tried, there was something in fact, bothering her.

I must interrogate her Elara thought.

Elara took a quick look at the time,

oh shit, she thought and broke into a sprint.

She had about 10 minutes to get herself into that lecture hall or she was really doomed.

She ran as if her life depended on it and as important as attending this lecture was for her final score of the semester, she stopped.

She stopped and looked at the person in front of her in astonishment.

"hey you, long time no see." The person remarked.

"long ti- dude 2 weeks!? Where the hell were you?" El exclaimed.

"sorry about that just had to visit someone."

"right and that's why you couldn't answer your phone Graham? , and what's wrong with you? You look like a skeleton off a science textbook."

"well, the place I went to had no signal and me? I was always thin El." Graham claimed.

It was, in fact true, but it was not difficult for someone such as El, who had deciphered symbols for three years to figure out the difference between thin and slim.

"forget that, where you going? We have a lecture-"

El took a quick glance at her phone, "-in less than 5 minutes"

"I'll be there, I need to speak to the Dean first."

"wait, what?! Why? The Dean? What in the name of mac and cheese did you do this time?"

Graham chuckled and replied, "nothing serious, I'll get going then."

And just like that Graham left.

Elara blinked twice.

What the hell just happened?

What in the name of gooseberries is happening to people these days? She thought before breaking into a sprint again.

" What does a C-Section have to do with us?"Davids complained.

Mel realized that she had completely forgotten to fill him in on the detail when she suddenly dragged him into an emergency surgery.

"oh right sorry, so the mother, aged 35is not due till another 3 weeks but because the baby's amniotic sac has insufficient amniotic fluid, she has to go into a emergency c-section."

"and-?"

"and the part where we come in is the baby. The foetus has a tumour 3inch wide growing in his left temporal lobe."
