Dee's POV

(short chapter)

Tomorrow's the day. The day we leave for tour. The only fascinating thing is, all of us kids won't be at the same locations for every event. Which sucks. Trent and I are sitting on a beanbag in his room. I grab the remote, "Can we watch something else?" I ask. He nods, "Whatever you want." I smile and turn to another show. I look at him, "Trent, I'm glad we met, that you were picked by JD." He grabs my hand, "I'm glad too, you're the best friend I've had in a while." I halfway smile. Friend. I hated that word. We both knew there was more than a friendship here. There was just something he wasn't telling me. I quietly looked down at phone. He lifted my head up with his finger, "What's wrong, ma?" I shake my head, "Nothing, you ready for tomorrow?" He nods, "Yep, Atlanta." I smile, "Yeah it'll be fun." We watch tv for a few more minutes, "Trent, why don't I get answers from you?" I ask. He looks up from his phone, "What kind of answers?" I shrug, "Like answers to the things I actually want to know about." He looks at me, "So besides what you want to know, you don't care about the rest?" I shake my head, "It's not that. But look, I like you Trent. A lot. Lately, you've been my rock. Kept me sane. But it seems like there's something stopping you..." He locks his phone and sighs, "No, there's nothing stopping me. I just don't want you to end up hurt, there's a lot you don't know about, Dee." I give him the most blank stare, "That's what I'm saying! Why don't you tell me the things I don't know?" He looks at me, "It's complicated." I roll my eyes, "Everything is complicated with you apparently. Can you take me home? Tomorrow's a big day." He stands up, "Are you seriously upset?" I brush beside him and walk down the stairs. He follows me, "Dee! Yo talk to me." I walk out of the door, "Let's go." I go to get into his car, but it's locked. Great. He walks outside, "Not unlocking it until you talk to me." I look the other direction, "I don't want to talk, can we please go?" He shakes his head, "Nope, tell me what's wrong, love." I look at him, "Nothing, nothing is wrong. I just keep getting disappointments." He gives me a confused look, "Disappointments like what?" I look down, "People getting my hopes up and not being what I hoped they would be." At this point, I'm leaning against his car, facing him. He puts his hands on either side of me, "I'm not a disappointment. At least that's not what I'm trying to be. I just have to keep you pure. There are so many flaws associated with me." I look at him, "I don't care about those flaws! I just want you! All strings attached."

He hesitates, before slowly kissing me. I deepen the kiss and he slowly pulls back, "Are you sure?" I nod before reconnecting our lips.
