Dee's POV

Whoa. I didn't expect any of that coming from Trent. His life seems so perfect and ideal. Never would've thought he had that depth to him. The entire plane ride back, I held onto his hand, making sure I didn't let go.

When we landed, we went straight to our hotel to put our things there while we visited home. Then we got into the car to start the drive to Baltimore. In the car, Trent texts me:

t: thanks for being understanding of my situation
d: yeah no problem, don't rush anything you aren't ready for
t: no that's not the point, I'm beyond ready, just not very risky
d: oh, i get it. & why are we texting if you're right here?

He laughs and motions to Jermaine. I look at him blankly, "You really think he's listening to us?" I whisper. I laugh and the rest of the ride, we continue to text.

When we arrive at the house, I slowly walk into the house, hoping to scare my mom. I tell Jermaine to close the door quietly as I peek into the living room, seeing that my family is all watching tv. I jump from behind the doorway, "Hey!!" My mom looks at me shocked, "Hey, baby!" She stands up and hugs me, Jermaine, and Trent. I go to hug my dad and brother. My mom comes to me and whispers in my ear, "Has he asked you out yet?" I laugh, "Nope, but he's not far from it." She smiles, "Good, I like him." I smile back at her.

After staying there for about an hour, we say our goodbyes, but they aren't sad goodbyes because we'll be here all week. We get back to the hotel room and Jermaine says we should just chill for a bit and do things that won't make us tired, because tomorrow's show is at noon, meaning we can't sleep in.

We take a nap for about half an hour and then decide to go to mini golfing. We get to the course and pay, then go to pick out our clubs. Trent and I both wanted blue, but there was only one left. Of course, he let me have it, and he got red. They have minimal spots, so we're sharing our course with a group of three. There are two girls and a boy. Making it obvious throughout the holes, the boy and one of the girls are dating, leaving the other one out. Awkward, definitely awkward.

When the course is over, we are all walking as a group back to the front to turn in our clubs. The girl that seemed to be left out, comes to Trent while I'm on my phone. She taps him, "Hey, Red. Wanna hang sometime?" He sighs, "Sorry, I'm taken," he says, referring to me. I smirk to myself, it feels good hearing him say that, opposed to last time. I feel her gazing at me, but I don't look up. We make it to the counter and Trent reaches to put his club on the rack. She sneakily rubs his arm. He glances at her. I give her a dead stare, until she looks back at me. "You know...I wonder how this golf club would fit in your trachea.." I say, annoyed. Trent chuckles, "Babe..." I look at him, "No, because apparently, she wants what's mine. Keyword, mine." She looks at me in disbelief, " Okay, chill. Seriously. He'd be better off with me anyway." I smirk at her, "Oh, really because if that were the case, he'd be with you and not me." She rolls her eyes and walks off. I smile at her, "Yes, return to your friends, wheel number three." She doesn't look back.

As soon as we get back to the hotel room, we both get ready for bed, considering we're now tired. I get up from the pull out bed and go to the hotel bed. He looks at me, "Seriously?" I look at him in confusion, "What?" He sighs, "That's it? No goodnight." I roll my eyes playfully and walk back over to him, "Goodnight, baby," I say, giving him a kiss. He smiles like a little kid and turns the other way to go to sleep. I chuckle and get into the bed, falling asleep in less than a minute.

the next day

I'm actually nervous. Since when do I get nervous? It's weird. I'm about to go on to perform and I'm shaking like I've never done it before. Maybe because it's the closest I'll get to home. Which means there could be people I know here. I'm about to go on and Trent comes and whispers in my ear, "Just go do what you know how to do, don't second guess yourself. You'll be great. You always are. I love you." He kisses my cheek, and I walk up the stairs.

I actually did really well, I don't think I was nervous to the point of not being able to perform. I didn't stumble at all, which is great. I walk down the stairs and Trent hugs me, "Good job, babe!" I smile at him, "Thanks." He smiles, "Okay, there are some fans over there waiting to meet you, I'm going to go get you some water." I nod at him and walk over to the line of fans. Who else is leading the line? But Darian.

I walk to the line slowly. He steps up and tries to start conversation, "Hey..." I look at him, "What do you want?" He smirks, "I want to talk." I change my expression to one of disgust, "I don't want to talk to you." He gently grabs my arm, "Please? Just hear me out, babe." Before I have time to respond, Trent has rushed over and now has Darian up against a wall, "What the fuck are you doing here?" Trent asks sternly. He continues, "Stay away from my girl. Far, far away." I look at Trent in confusion, "You two know each other?"

He turns back to look at me, "This is my bitch ass brother."
