Goddess of the Earth Poem

The tides rise and fall through days, nights, weeks, months and years.

The sun and moon rise and set over the lands,

with such regularity, peace and harmony.

Fire ravages the land,

Rain scours what time has left behind.

Wind weathers away,

Earth still survives.

Man walks the earth, she cries out in pain.

Through millions of years of peace and harmony,

The Goddess of the Earth has known no pain,

All has changed in such a short span of time.

How much more shall she withstand, before she makes her final stand?

Oh Goddess of the Earth

Forgive us, mere mortal man; ignorance is not a right & just stand.
