I awoke, sobbing in Castor's arms.

"Oh Ethan! I'm so sorry!" I wept.

Castor held me close and stroked my hair. "What's going on?"

I wiped away a few tears. "Castor, they have Ethan! Luke's going to torture him until he tells where we're going!" I continued crying.

"It's okay Pamla, they won't break him easily. He'll hold out."

"I'm not worried about him telling, I could give a shit about that! I'm worried about whether Luke's going to kill him." I sobbed into his shoulder.

Castor wrapped his arms around me. "What can I do?"

"You can help me find him." I said.

"Pamela we can't, if Luke finds you he'll kill you!"

I got up, stumbling a little bit. "I'm going to find him! Right now! Ethan needs me!"

"You can't!" Shouted Castor, holding me back.

"Why not!"

He pulled me close to him. "I don't want you to die. You can't leave!"

I blinked back tears. Then pushed him away.

"ETHAN SAID HE LOVES ME!" I screamed.

I ran off. Castor didn't stop me

I ran right over o the Athena cabin.

"Get up Blondie!" I shook her awake.

"We don't have to leave until tomorrow night." She slumped her head back onto the pillow.

"If you just saw what I did, you'd want to leave too." I said.

"What happened?"

"I'll tell you on the way there." I said. "You get your stuff, I'm going to wake Percy and Tyson." I told her then, stalked out of the cabin.

I walked into the Poseidon cabin.

"Get up Percy!"

He threw his pillow at me. "Come back in the morning!"

"No, we're leaving now!" I told him. "Tyson come on, were leaving now."

Tyson got up and grabbed a small oilcloth, he stuck it in the pocket of his jeans and joined me at the door.

I looked to Percy, who was still laying down in bed.

"Percy, please I want to leave now." I said.

"I'm tired, come back later." He said lazily.

"Come on." I coaxed.

"No."

"Get up!"

"I'm tired and you're crazy if you think anyone besides you wants to go save Nakamura." He said.

Tyson put a hand on my shoulder. "He doesn't mean it Pammy."

"Just...... join me outside." I exhaled deeply and left.

Annabeth had a small drawstring bag of clothing. Her gold dagger hung at her side.

"There's a spot on the canoe lake which opens up to the ocean. We'll be able to see the cruise ship." She told me. "Percy knows where it is."

She led me to a beautiful area. A circle was cleared in the trees where you could see the stars arranged in a pathway to heaven.

Fireflies glowed on the water's edge.

It was too familiar.

Annabeth took a spot on the sand. I perched myself on a rock.

"What the?!" Annabeth was staring down the sand pathway when she saw......

A jogger?

He had on a red track suit and was talking on a cell phone as he ran.

"No, tell him to ship the four thousand slabs of celestial bronze to Hephaestus's Mt St. Helens forge, not the one on Olympus........wait, what do you mean there's no return address?!"

He stopped. "I'll call you back." He said and hung up. His phone turned into a cadeucus and tiny wings sprouted on his running sneakers.

There were two snakes entertwined around it.

The jogger sat down on the sand and pulled a coke out of thin air. He looked at Annabeth. "Would you and your friend care for one." He asked.

"Oh, no thank you, my lord." Said Annabeth. She obviously knew who this guy was.

I looked the guy up and down. Annabeth calling him "my lord", the cadeucus, the winged shoes."

"Hermes. You're Luke's dad." I said.

He looked at me and gave me a small smile. "Guilty."

("Honey, did it honestly take you that long to figure it out?") it was almost like I heard It in my head, yet it sounded like someone was talking.

"Excuse me?" I asked.

("Don't pay him any attention honey, he's just hungry") I heard another voice, this one was female.

"Thank you Martha." Said Hermes.

"I'm sorry?" I asked

Hermes face lit up. "Oh, this is George." He gestured to one of the snakes that was a tint of green. "And Martha." The other snake who was a shade of pink.

("Hey, you wouldn't happen to have any rats would you?") George asked.

"It's okay I'll handle his round Pamela." Said Hermes as he tossed two dead rats in the air.

(Ew.) I thought. Why couldn't he just get gummy rats or something.

Percy joined us as Hermes started to get up.

"I have a few errors to work out at my mailing service, so I'll leave you with a few things." He handed me a small bottle.

I read the label "VitaGods?" I opened up the bottle. Inside were little candies I plucked out a yellow one. "Are these shaped like minotaurs?"

Hermes looked at the pill in my hand. "The lemon ones, yes, the grape ones are shaped like Furies." He smiled. And handed Annabeth a small thermos. "The four winds, it's very strong, so don't waste it, and be able control it well."

He looked at the ocean where a cruise ship adorned with lights was sailing by. "I think that's you, you might want to head out there." He said. "If you see Luke, tell him I'm sorry and that what he's doing, wont make it right."

I gave him a weak smile. "We will."

Hermes vanished.

"How are we supposed to get out there anyway?" Annabeth asked.

Percy looked out to the sea, where seahorse-like creatures were bounding their way to shore. They looked like a mix of colorful sea horses and regular horses.

"Hippocampi." Said Annabeth, awestruck.

"Thank you Poseidon." Said Percy.

"Fish ponies!" Said Tyson sounding very exited, he saddled the extra large one.

"Whoa there scales." I said, straddling the smallest one.

Once Percy and Annabeth had gotten on one, they took off, bounding their way toward the cruise ship.
