"i get to leave today!" y/n sang happily. tyler smiled at her childish excitement. "the nurse brought me clothes and said i could leave whenever i was ready."
"then what are we waiting for?" tyler asked.
"tyler, amanda's going to drop me off at my house."
"you're not going home." josh said.
"hm?" she asked curiously.
"you're going to stay with us until you're better."
"i literally met you two days ago."
"if you think we're letting you go back home to a house of abuse, you're wrong."
"what do you qualify as "better"?" y/n asked.
"it's quite a long list. i've heard an earful about it in the car." josh said.
y/n giggled at tyler's over-protectiveness.
"well, i'm just trying to keep her safe. we should go." tyler said.

they had to check with a nurse at the front office to ensure y/n would not be returning, for a while.

"we gonna get an uber?" she asked.
"no, we rented a car."
"okay. she agreed.
"shotgun!" she yelled.
"screw you." tyler said distastefully.
y/n hopped in the passengers seat as tyler made his way to the back. josh drove.

"do you need to grab anything from your house before we get there?" josh asked.
"yes, please." she said.
it was a for minutes before they arrived at her home.
"why do you know where i live?"
"it's the house on the left corner in front of the elementary school." tyler mumbled. y/n smiled at the fact that he remembered that. she got out of the car, as did tyler.
"tyler, i'm going to be fine alone."
"i'm going with you." she rolled her eyes playfully at his stubbornness.

the front door was unlocked. her parents car wasn't in front of the house so they probably weren't home. y/n walked up the stairs to her room. tyler followed behind. he leaned against the door frame as she grabbed clothes and other stuff.
"okay, i'm good." she said, holding a bag of items.
"kay, let's go."
y/n found herself alone at the front door.
"tyler!" she yelled.
"coming!" he replied from upstairs.

they raced out to the car together. josh laughed at the two being so childish.
"i won i get shotgun!" tyler yelled entirely way to loud. y/n saw a car pulling up to her house as they left. it was her mother.
"do you wanna go out and talk to them?" josh asked.
"hell no."
"alright." josh drove away reluctantly.
