the two looked out at the fair. roller coasters and stands were everywhere, despite the fact that the area itself was rather small.
"what do you wanna do first?" tyler asked.
"i don't know." she replied.
y/n hooked her arm around his as they walked.
"let's ride a roller coaster." she said.
"okay, which one?"
"the spinny one that goes way up high."
"hell n o. how about the spinny one that stays on the ground?"
"okay." she agreed.

"well that sucked."
y/n punched tyler in the arm.
"no it didn't. you chose a stupid cart that didn't spin."
tyler looked away in defeat.
"we should ride the carousel." he suggested.
"we're gonna look so weird."
"ya, but were like five years old."
she laughed.
"you're not wrong." y/n agreed.

"i'm naming my horse! um..." she took a moment to think.
"ruby." y/n finished.
"why ruby?"
"because she's red and reminds me of the song."
tyler smiled at her.
"you're cute." he said quietly.
"hm?"
"nothing."
and the ride began.

"my horse is so gonna beat yours." she said.
"no one shall defeat tyler joseph the second!" he said loudly.
"me and my friend were here once when we were smaller. we named all the horses."
"did any of them have as great a name as tyler joseph the second?"
"not quite. that one was you, and the one next to it josh because it has a pink mane. then in front there's pete wentz, patrick stump, brendon urie, and gerard way."
"wow, you were so creative." tyler said sarcastically.
"i know right we used to be so original." she agreed.

the ride stopped too soon.
"where to next?" tyler asked.
y/n ran a hand through her hair.
"i don't know. you choose."
"the arcade?"
"i'm gonna beat you at every game in there tyler joseph."
"let's see about that!"
the two raced to the small building. on there way there, y/n fell into the hard gravel. it took her a moment to recompose herself.
"i win!" he yelled.
"that's only because i fell."
"maybe, but we may never know."
y/n rolled her eyes at him.
"let's go play some games." she said.
two claw machines sat next to each other. y/n walked over to one.
"it's rigged." tyler warned.
"i'm still gonna try."
she inserted a coin into the machine and began playing. a few seconds later a pink stuffed animal fell through the hole.
"in your face!" she yelled a bit too loud.
"let me try." he said. soon, another smol stuffed animal fell. they glanced at each another at the realization that both machines work.
"i bet i can win more animals than you." tyler said.
"you're on."
they watched themselves and each other play as the claws moved about the machine. sometimes gripping the animals, and other times failing completely.

"we're out of coins." y/n said.
"i have eight." tyler said with a handful of stuffed animals.
"dammit. seven."
"we should get a bag for these."
"k."
tyler grabbed a bag made for prizes and placed the fifteen plushies in it. as they left, tyler grew worried of y/n.
"are you okay?" he asked.
"y-yeah. just a bit dizzy."
she fell again.
tyler helped by placing one hand on her waist and gripping her hand. he pulled her up. the moment y/n stood she lost balance again. things became blurry. she tried to focus on the situation, but before she could y/n felt herself being lifted up.
"tyler, put me down." she demanded.
"nope."
"please?"
"m-m." he hummed, shaking his head. y/n rolled her eyes at him.
"you lost to much blood while in the hospital. now, because you ran you can't even stand."
"fine."
tyler carried her bridal style out of the area. she set her head and on his arm.
"i ship it!" someone yelled in the distance.
"me too!" tyler yelled back.
y/n laughed at both of there remarks.
