POV Magnus
I follow Alec outside waving a goodbye to Ms. Fray as we leave. I look down at the camera in my hands and realize that's it's probably one the most expensive things that I ever held. And had not stolen. “Hay!” I look up to see a very angry looking blue-eyed boy.
“Oh, you say something, love.”
“What ah, don’t…” his anger dissolves. Ha!
“So, can’t I just…” I raise the camera and “click”
“Did you?”
“Yes.”
He takes the camera from me and looks at the picture I took… then deletes it.
“Come on” he just keeps walking to somewhere. I take this chance to get another good look at him. He is wearing a lot of blacks. I mean black t-shirt, black jeans, black converse, black hair. Wear some color man! I swear the only bit of him that holds any color is the dark blue of his eyes and the light pink of his blush. I’ve got to admit that from this angle he does look good. I check him up and down, then run into him. “Why’d ya stop” I look around and see that we are outside of the main building. “Um, why are we…”
“Come on” what is he… oh lord. I guess we’re going up today. I follow him up the ladder to the roof. Once I'm up there I spin around. “It looks beautiful up here.”
“I know, come here” he keeps saying that. I look over and sit next to him by the edge.
“Isn’t this dangerous?”
“Yes”
“Then why?”
“Why not”
“True” Alec lays down on his back with his head practically off the edge. “ what the hell”
“Shh,” Alec points his camera up and snaps three to four pics at random angles. "All done" then he sits back up and stretches.
"Why'd you?"
"Here" he hands me the camera and I flip through the photos of the sky. ((above)) “they look beautiful”
“Yea right. I still have to edit ‘em, yea most the stuff you really need to learn is going to be in the lab anyway.”
“Hu” wait then why did we even come up here. This just to waste my time. I only have a week to learn this stuff, and based on what Alec said earlier it must be harder than it looks. Plus I gotta take care of Raphael we I get home tonight because he’s sick, and I hope moms still holding up to her promise, ralphie doesn't need to be around that.
“Hey, you okay? You looked stressed. It just the first-day man, you’ll be fine.” Yeah sure I'm just supposed to go home and have everything be fine. Because that's how life works. “Yea” I sit down next to him on the roof… it really is nice up here. I scoot closer to Alec and rest my head on his shoulder. He automatically stiffens, but I couldn’t careless, I'm tired…
