Chapter 15

POV Ralphie

I woke up and the movie was over. I sit up a look at magnus, he was asleep and smiling. It been awhile since i’ve seen him smile like that. Maybe this one will be good for him. I hope so.

Im kinda hungry so i decide to go down stairs.

When i get there i see a women putting what looks like chicken into the oven. She turns around and notices me, “oh.. Hello. And who are you?”

“Im Raphael, Magnus is my brother, who are you?”

“Magnus’ brother, i wasn’t aware he had one?”

“Well here i am” my stomach grumbles.

“Oh are you hungry?”

“Yes.” she grabs a box from the cupboard and hands it to me.

“Alec needs to tell me when he has people over so i can make enough food to feed them all.” she mumbles to herself.

“Oh it’s okay, i have to go home soon anyway. I don’t need my mom to get mad.”

“Well you can at least take some home, their father can use a smaller portion anyway.” she smiles, i like her she’s nice. She asks me to go get alec, so i go back upstairs taking the chips with me.

“ALec!” I call as i walk the room where we watched the movie. “Your mom wants you!!” he walks into the room to see them both waking up, “You’re still asleep?”

“Not anymore thanks to your yelling.”

“It not my fault his mummy wants ‘im” i say exaggerating the slight english accent the women had.

“Coming Mum!” he shouts leaving the room

“Mum?”

“It’s what he calls his mother.”

“That’s weird.”

“I think its cute”

“Of course you would.”

He put his arms around my waist pulling me on top of him. Laughing i fight my way out of his grasp, pushing him on the floor. He keeps laughing, it's been so long i love seeing him smile, his real smile that lights up his whole face. His eyes look brighter too.

“I know i'm gorgeous but you starein’ ?”

“Your smile.. You really love him don’t you?”

“Wha- um ralphie. I um- no. I.. i’ve only know him a week.”

“That’s not what i asked mags”

“... i’m not ready to love someone again.”

“The universe doesn’t care if you think you’re ready or not. You love him. I can see it. You’re happy. Happier than i’ve seen you in awhile. Even when with her you weren--”

“STOP! DONT.. don't talk about her please… i'm sorry i.. I shouldn't have yelled” he goes to hug me but then backs away as if afraid. “It's the beginning, it's always happy at the start… i don't want to go promising myself happiness… i… it tends to end in disaster… i’m sorry i yelled.”

And with that he leaves, closing the door. I shouldn't of brought it up..
