"Motherfucking bleep bleep bleep bleep!" Hazel screamed amidst the Grudge-keening of a hundred zombies chasing us.

"Bleep bleep?" Ethan yelled at her. "What the fuck is that?"

"There isn't a dirty enough word to describe this! That's why I'm calling it bleep for the moment. Bleeping-bleep!"

How can those two be such idiots at a time like this?

I noticed that I was almost overtaking the adults who was running at the front and slowed down. While us teenagers could run as fast as our legs could carry us, it was a different case for them. They were already old and I didn't even want to think about how long they could last running like this. Already, Mrs. Blake was panting hard and clutching her sides.

"Damn it, Dad!" Hazel shouted. "Why do you have to gain fifty pounds?"

"We can't keep running like this forever," said Christian. "I'll distract them while you guys go."

"Just because you were brain-dead before doesn't mean you have the right be stupid now," Hazel told him. "Only Ethan has the right to be the idiot in this group."

"Why did she become my girlfriend again?" Ethan wondered.

"Maybe we should accept his plan," I said, not looking at any of them. "After all, it could create a small diversion for us to save both of your parents."

"Not gonna work," Hazel said. "Dad's not going to let anyone sacrifice their life for him."

"Ditto for my parents," Ethan agreed.

Well, at least I tried.

"AH!"

We all turned around at Mr. Williams' gasp of shock, and the blood drained from my face.

Zombies appeared one by one in front of us, blocking our way. We were sandwiched between two large group of zombies, with no way out.

"I don't believe this," Mr. Blake said, his face pale. "They actually made a strategic plan to trap us."

"That's impossible," Hazel said. "They just recently got back their I.Q. They have to learn ABCD first!"

"What do we do?" Mrs. Blake asked, squeezing the hand of her husband. "Is there any way for us to get out?"

Silence answered her question.

Mr. Blake hugged his shivering wife and exchanged a grim look with Ethan.

"If we ever separate," he told us, "You all need to go to the nearest quarantine. Its in Pittsburgh. You kids go there, okay?"

We all nodded, serious and solemn. I took out my pistol and adjusted my posture, trying not to look as nervous as I felt.

Is this going to be the end of us? I thought.

"Look out!"

I dodged as a zombie leaped, its teeth bared. I spun around and shot it right at the center of its forehead.

Hazel gave me a high five. "One kill for the girls' team!"

Remember when I said Hazel and Ethan are the two most fearless people I have ever met? I take that back.

They're not fearless, just idiots.

"Okay, listen up," Mr. Williams said. "We have to guard each other's backs and stay close. Don't split up--"

"No," I interrupted, struck by a memory. "I know this military maneuver. Its called Encirclement. The enemy surrounds us so that there would be no room for retreat. We need to breakout."
