Alex's pov

"A single to Glasgow central please" I asked the train conductor, "that will be £11.50 please" I handed him the money and waited for him to print my ticket out "thankyou" I said quietly as he handed me my ticket, he gave me a quick smile and moved onto the next person.

I'm still not talking to Harry, if it's a secret about me then I have a right to know.

Plus the fact he really scared me, he always does when he's angry, like one of the first days we met when he grabbed my wrists and bruised them, it terrified me.

A few minutes after we argued I charged upstairs after Harry, I pulled a bag out and began to pack my things.

"Where are you going?" Harry asked angrily "none of your business" I replied whilst slamming the bedroom door and leaving.

I had know where to go. I wasn't going to go back to Harry's because that would just be contradicting myself.

And I wasn't going to back home because.... Well I couldn't.

So I decided to go and see the person I missed most. My mum, I hadn't seen her since I moved to London, and I did really miss her.

I had to wait a few hours for the train to arrive though, so it's now half past eight at night.

I don't know how long I'll be at my mums for though, just until I feel like going home.

I also decided to come and see my mum because I thought she might tell me this big 'secret' that's if she knows.

Knock... Knock... Knock

"Okay! Okay! I'm coming" I heard my mum shout, I missed hearing her voice.

The door flew open and she stood in her Jammies and dressing gown. "Alex?" Her eyes widened

"Are you going to invite me in then?" "Y- yeah" she stuttered, probably from the shock of seeing me.

"So... What brings you here?" She asked handing me a cup of tea.

"Oh... I don't know, just fancied seeing you" I smiled "and does your dad know your here?" She raised and eyebrow

"Well.... Not exactly" I turned away "Alex. What do you mean?" "Well, I've sort of fallen out with dad..." I trailed off "what have you done?" She smiled "I've not done anything... It's him. I hate him, he treated me so unfairly, compared to Aston" I sighed and took a sip of my tea "how 'unfairly'" she questioned. She is asking a lot of questions.

"Mum... He almost killed me." I gulped "no. He wouldn't." "He did.."

I then told her the story from start to finish, both of us crying.

"Your not still living with him, are you?" She asked "no, no, no. I moved out after... That happened, I live with my boyfriend Harry." I explained. "Oh, I see, a boyfriend" she smirked

I told my mum everything that had happened since I had moved to London, even about the gangs.

And she told me everything that had happened since I had moved out.

"Mum? Have you ever... Kept anything from me, like ever?" I asked "w-what makes you say that?" She stuttered.

Got her.

"Just... Everyone seems to know a secret about me, that i don't seem to know at all. Even Harry. And dad, they just won't tell me what. Do you know anything?" I asked.

She took a deep breath in and sighed.

"Mum?" "It's time you knew, Alex." She almost whispered "knew what?" I asked desperately

"Before you were born... Your dad and I were visiting his family, where you live now." She spoke slowly

"We left Aston in with your aunt sarah, and your dad took me too this party."

"Anyway, I met this man. Who was very attractive, and so flirty, we began talking and... I had an affair, with him."

"A few weeks later when we were back home, I discovered that I was pregnant."

"I had to tell your dad. I just assumed it was his."

"Then, you were born. And your dad got all suspicious."

"He ended up sending away for a secret DNA test"

"He's... He's not your father."

Tears streamed down my face as I took it all in. That's why he was so unfair too me, he's not my dad.

I don't believe this, if he's not my dad who is?.

"What is his name?" I asked shakily "Alex..." She trailed off "mum. Tell me. Now" I desperately asked.

"Mark Tomlinson."
