Alex's pov

"Nicole!" I ran in and hugged her as tight as I could. "How are you feeling?" "Tired" we both laughed.

"I know you've just woken up but can you remember anything that had happened?" I asked "I was just reading my book, then I heard noises, so I hid under my bed..." "And...?" "And it's all black from there, I can't remember anymore" she smiled weakly

"Anyway! What happened to you?!" She asked concerned "t that's nothing for you to worry about right now" I smiled, she looked like she was about to say something when Aston burst into the room "Nicole!" He shouted hugging her. Aston was not the hugging person. "Oh how are you babe?" He smiled. Babe?. "I'll leave you too it then" I waved to Nicole and left the room.

"Lex! Is she okay?" Harry asked "yeah, she's just got a bit of memory loss" "oh that's good I suppose" he smiled

*at Harry's house*

"I've invited some of the west side round, is that okay?" He asked "yeah, fine"

"Alex! I've not seen you in ages!" Rebecca ran in hugging me "hey!" I shouted. "So I hear you've moved in with Harry" Niall asked sitting on the couch "ugh, yeah I guess" I sat next to him.

"Hey Gillian!" I shouted but she just waved. She wasn't her normal cheery self?, I awkwardly looked away. Harry sat down next to me.

"Hey, haz. He's back" Zayn spoke to Harry "are you being serious." Harry spoke quietly "yeah. Haven't you heard?" Niall chipped in "shit" Harry muttered "who's, 'he'?" I asked, severely confused "nothing for you to worry about, love" Harry smirked. But I could tell it really was something for me to worry about.

I looked up and noticed Gillian leaving the room, she walked into the kitchen, I limped after her.

Before Gillian noticed me, I watched her through the gap in the door in the kitchen talking to herself, leaning on the worktop clutching each side of her head

Gillian's pov

*flashback

I walked down the dark street behind him. "What do you want, Gillian?" How did he know I was here. I kept the knife in the sleeve of my hoody "nothing" I almost whispered "well why are you following me home" he questioned "I just wanted to talk"

"Talk about what exactly" "I don't know just... Talk" "well what if I don't want to fucking talk! Your just some slut that I went out with, and that was a long time ago now" I was a bit taken back by his remark "w-what" I stuttered and he walked closer to me.

"Nobody. Cares. About. You" he said right in my face.

I pulled out the knife, my hand shaking. What the hell was I about to do? This isn't me. I thought. He deserved it though.

I stabbed the knife in his stomach, he gasped in pain. But somehow it felt good, like I was getting all of my anger out.

I did this repeatedly until he fell to the ground, I dropped the blood covered knife and ran. I ran as if my life depended on it, i stopped at the start of my street and looked down, my hands were shaking and covered in blood. I heard sirens roar, I hadn't even noticed I was crying. I began running again, back to my house. Were I was safe.

*end of flashback*

I stood thinking of what I had done.

Alex's pov

"Are you okay?" I asked. She just looked at me, her eyes drilling into me, I looked away nervously. She took a seat and I followed.

"Gillian you've not spoke, at all since you got here" and she just looked again, why was she doing this.

"What's wrong?" I asked firmly "I didn't mean it" she began to cry, what? "W- what are you talking about?" "It wasn't my fault" she cried even more "he was winding me up, he said nobody, and I mean nobody cared about me" what the hell is she talking about. "Gillian your kinda freaking me out now" I whispered "he called me a slut" there she goes again, it's like she was in her own little world. "I- I just wanted to talk" she spoke a bit more softly "right I'm gonna go, because your really creeping me out now" I gulped and went to stand up, but I was stopped, she grabbed my wrists and sat me back down, and looked me in the eyes "it was me."

"What was you, Gillian?"

"Alfie."
