Athena's POV
"He did good!" I muttered to myself as I looked at the small stitching on my right side.
Though it hadn't turned out as bad as we thought I had still been shot. Life with The Joker had became all the more realistic. I couldn't continue hiding in my bubble of rainbows and flowers, I needed to adapt and it needed to be right now. It killed me inside but Jack had to pushed from my mind and be replaced with Joker, it was the only way I'd survive in his 'kingdom'.I had woken up earlier feeling extremely dizzy. The events from last night were blurred and one big mess in my mind. The last thing I remember was feeling the needle pierce my skin and the painful burning sensation that followed before everything went black. J wasn't in bed when I woke and I prayed he was still here after the shock of last night. I knew he was most likely blaming himself and as his wife it was my job to reassure him and give him all the comfort I could. I really felt like our relationship was getting stronger these days and I wasn't going to let a little bullet get in the way of it.
Pulling my top down I took a deep breath and headed out the bathroom.
I needed to get to the kitchen!
All the action from last night had made me insanely hungry almost to the point where everything I seen looked edible. No matter how hard I tried I still couldn't help but feel story for that guy. He had lost the person he cherished most it's no wonder he lashed out, I would have done the same. I knew he was dead now, I hoped that he had found peace wherever he was with Antonio and they can continue just as they were."J are you here?!" I called out as I hopped down the stairs.
"I was thinking we could go out for breakfast" I continued but receiving no answer both times.
"J have you seriously lef......Oh hello!" I started only to cut myself as I entered the living room.He was here sat lounging on the couch, nothing out the ordinary except from the two masked men sat either side him. Their full faces were covered expect the nose and eyes so I couldn't recognise them even if I tried. They were also big and I mean really big. You could see that they towered over J but the dominating presence of him put them in their place. There was something about them that was making my skin crawl and I suddenly began feeling sick again. The urge to leave them room was so powerful.
"Athena" J spoke out in monotone leaning forwards in his chair.
