A/n
I know some of you are annoyed because I'm not consistent with updates and they're not every day like they used to be. For that I am truly sorry, lecture and lesson planning has made me its bitch.
I'm so busy but I will try harder for you guys!
If anyone of you are thinking of becoming a teacher, DONT! It sucks ass!

Athena's POV
A soft groan left my lips as the morning sun stung my eyes.
Why hadn't I closed the curtains?
I hated mornings especially when it meant I was waking up to another day in Gotham. I honestly couldn't wait to go back home to my family. Very soon I would be out of this hell hole and away from the poison lurking inside it.
Confusion ran through me, normally Erin would wake me up with breakfast and yet this morning there was nothing.
Where was she?

A little snore and movement from the other side of the bed made me jump slightly and turning my head I saw Chris laid next to me in a deep slumber.
What the hell was he doing here? In my bed?
Oh wait......
The memories from the previous night hit me like a tonne of bricks.
I had kissed Chris at the wedding and came back to his place for sex.
We had sex! Holy cheese balls!
I'm guessing I had forgiven him for leading me on at the start, I was now more concerned with taking Joker down but maybe something could become of us in the future.
I couldn't deny Chris was a sweet guy and last night had been incredible.

Smiling I turned onto my stomach and stared at him.
He looked so cute and innocent sleeping, I felt bad if I disturbed him.
Would it be awkward when he eventually did wake?
Would he make me leave?
I'm glad I chose to go home with him, if I had stayed at that wedding any longer I would have flipped out.
The Joker was such an asshole! I wanted to tear that smug smile off his pathetic face!
How dare he think I still wanted him?!
I'd be insane to go back to him?
Is it bad that I was concerned for Harley?
I had never met the woman but I knew how evil that man could be so any humane person would somewhat worry for her safety.

Sighing quietly I let my thoughts drift back to Chris as I continued to watch him snooze happily.
"Do you know that staring at people while they sleep is the sign of a creep?" His gruff morning voice called out making me jump in fright.
"Oh sorry! Did I wake up?" I whispered lifting my head to notice he still had his eyes closed.
"No you're good! What man wouldn't want to wake up next a beautiful woman?" He grinned as he finally opened his eyes and gave me a wink.
My whole face flushed red as he gazed at me.
Chuckling he reached over, wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me onto his chest.
"There's not point in being shy around me after last night" he pointed out humorously tightening his hold on me.
"I'm not shy! I just feel new to all this" I admitted with a small smile.
"Don't worry we can go as slow as you want" he reassured me followed by a soft kiss.

Once again the butterflies where there and my heart was pounding slightly.
Maybe I was falling for him quickly.
I mean who could blame me, Chris was amazing!
"Do you have work today?" I asked trying to figure out if he wanted me to leave.
"No not today so how about we have breakfast, go get a load of junk, pick out some movies and snuggle on the couch?" He replied making me excited.
Yes!!!
He wanted to spend the day with me!
I don't think I could have been any happier if I tried.
"That sounds amazing" I grinned trying to downplay the excitement I felt.
"Great! You go freshen up and I'll make breakfast!" Chris chirped giving me a quick kiss before gently removing my body from his and climbing out the bed.

I stayed still for a few moments watching his naked body stroll around the room towards his dresser.
The urge to jump on his was clawing at me but I decided that my hunger was more important plus I wanted to see if the guy could cook because he sure couldn't decorate.
Putting on some boxers he gave me one last wink before leaving the room.
Once he had gone I did a quick embarrassing happy dance.
It seemed like my life was finally getting better.
