all wars have come to an end

not in my lifetime, my friends

in all my 82 years

i have seen the sorrow,

seen the tears

i pray sometimes things will change

the whole world will rearrange

its not for me i fold my hands

but for those who follow,

the children of all lands

may they be able to say

on that glorious sometime day

"all wars have come to an end"
