Cost of Conflict; Payment of Peace
Peace comes at a price
Love is tantamount to war
Soldiers are paid with lies
And the families with scars
Tidal waves of bloodshed
Drowning under cold ashes
Children with bullet wings
Hoping that the pain passes
Cost of a worldwide unity
Crippling the very society
Nothing but anaemic irony
Applause for our humanity!
But buried under the money
Under the riches and honey
Is a pure faith for everybody
A better life and community
Where rivers aren't tainted
The sky's free of nuclear rain
Where children can rejoice
Without worrying about pain
Peace comes at a price
Love is equal to harmony
Soldiers paid satisfaction
And a gregarious country
Peace, it's an expensive game
Dictated in each of our names
If it prevails as a singular truth
Then it will be all for its worth
