I walked around the room for perhaps the hundredth time since waking up here, running my hands along the surface. I had just finished running and was now going slowly to catch my breath. I didn't know what day it was or what time. Whether it was day or night. Nothing existed except these four walls and yellow light. I glared up at the single light bulb. It was the only constant. Karma's visits were sporadic. He brought food whenever he felt like it and sometimes he came down simply to talk. These talks normally ended with me on my back but he didn't take it any further then kissing and touching. Part of me wanted more and I was shocked with myself for it. He had kidnapped me. I shouldn't want him to touch me or to talk to him but I did. Something must be broken inside of me.
Taking a deep breath, I began to run. Round and round the small room, pushing my body to its limit. When I stumbled, I stopped and flopped on the ground, the concrete cool on my naked back. Gasping for air I glared once again at the ceiling.
"That was your quickest run yet. You are getting faster."
I didn't even turn to face him. I hadn't heard the door open but I knew he would be leaning against it, looking at my half naked body.
"Well I have nothing else to do."
"If you wanted to get sweaty we could do something a lot more fun."
His head popped into my vision as he smirked down at me and I was glad that my face was already red so he couldn't see me blushing from his words. Instead I closed my eyes and pretend to be uninterested.
"How long have I been down here?"
"Time doesn't matter."
I supressed a sigh. I always got some stupid answer when I asked. I couldn't well count on my body clock since all I did was sleep and exercise but I was sure it would to have been at least a week.
"Well, maybe it does," he mumbled and I felt him run his fingers through my wet hair. It felt good but I didn't open my eyes, not wanting to see how close his face was to mine.
"I will have to go back to work soon."
"You mean to go and kill someone. Say it how it is."
"I don't always kill Nagisa."
I opened one eye to look up at him. He was close, sitting behind me, bending over my head as his fingers massaged my scalp.
"Don't look at me like that, it's true. Sometimes someone just needs to be scared or a client asks us to deal out a beating or scam a scammer. Assassination comes last. I am the best at it though."
"Not something to boast about Karma."
I closed my eye again, letting his soothing fingers relax me.
I was half nodding off when he suddenly scooped me up and marched towards the bathroom.
"What are you doing?" I squeaked.
Cradling me to his chest with just one arm he begun to run the shower.
"Getting you cleaned up."
"I can do it myself."
"But this is more fun."
He stepped into the shower fully clothed and planted me on the ground. The water poured down on us as Karma pressed me against the wall, pinning me there with his body. His lips found mine and I didn't fight as he unzipped my pants and let them fall to the ground. He broke the kiss to take his shirt off and then his lips were back on mine, hungry for more. Despite the cool shower my body was hot where he touched me. He moved to my neck and I mewled in pleasure as he attacked the spot where my shoulder met me neck.
