"So are you going to tell me about what happened?"

Asano slid into the chair across the table from me and slid a cup of coffee towards me. It was late afternoon and we were sitting in a small café while we waited for Karma and Nakamura. I was dressed in a pair of skinny jeans and a black hooded jumper with some teenage grunge band name splattered on the front. It was my outfit to infiltrate the hotel later that night. I was just the rebellious teenage son of someone who was staying in the hotel. One of Asano's men had played the part of my father when we had checked in earlier today and I had put on the bored teenage act. The staff had easily bought into it and my pride had been hurt a little that I looked so young and tiny.

"About what?"

I went to take a sip of the coffee but stopped when Asano brushed his fingers along the bruise that had formed on the side of my face then to the bruise's in the shape of fingers around my throat. His hand lingered there as he ran his thumb along my collar bone.

"Asano," I said quietly resting the urge to shiver at his soft touch.

He snapped back to reality and sat back, his cheeks flushed.

"Sorry."

I drank some of the coffee to settle my nerves and he did the same before his violet eyes sought me out again.

"Nagisa. When I last saw you yesterday you weren't injured."

I put a hand to my bruised and puffy cheek and opened my mouth to say the words I wanted to say, to cry and beg him to save Kayano, to save me from his father but then my hand travelled down to the side of my neck where I could tell the tracker was.

"Just got a bit roughed up in training. I was distracted but good news is I can use my arm like normal now, see?"

I rotated my injured arm and there was only a small bit of pain as the stitches pulled. He made some non committal noise as he went back to his coffee and I looked out the window and the storm clouds brewing. The letter in my pocket felt heavy and I put a hand to it. Now was not the time.

The door jingled just as the skies opened up and I saw Asano stiffen in the corner of my eye. I turned and my breath caught in my throat as I saw Karma brushing his wet hair out of his eyes. His golden orbs quickly pinned me as he moved over and it felt completely normal for me to reach up as he bent down and to kiss him. His large hands tangled in my hair, deepening the kiss and I felt my body heating up. Someone cleared their throat and we parted, my cheeks tinged pink as Karma smirked down at me and winked at the uncomfortable looking Asano.

"Hello young lord."

Asano grimaced at the title as Karma stripped off his coat, slinging it on the back of his chair to dry and I saw he was wearing a white button up shirt and a red tie. He looked good. Catching me staring at him Karma draped his arm over the back of my chair and leaned in to whisper, "if you keep looking at me like that I wont be able to hold back."

I blushed even harder as he ran his fingers down the back of my neck making me shiver. He smirked and brushed my hair behind my ear but then his smouldering eyes hardened as he saw the bruise marring the side of my face. His cold fingers traced it, seeing if anything was broken. His trained eyes also took in the bags under my own and the slight bruising around my neck.

"Who did it?"

"It was from training, nothing to harsh."

"Not harsh? Someone gripping your throat hard enough to bruise?"

I bit my lip and looked away but he gripped my chin, forcing my eyes back to his face. I couldn't lie to him, he knew when I wasn't telling the truth. His eyes told me as much as he sternly stared me down.
