"I'm fine. Ward, stop fussing." I point out.
Ward sighs beside me, placing the ceramic mug on the glass meeting room table. He sits down next to me and places his palms on the table, creating an imprint of his skin.
"Have you seen your dad yet?" Captain asks sat beside me.
My eyes dart to his. The worry and confusion burn bright in his wide eyes as he sends me a quick smile.
"No. But I have dinner plans with him later, could be eventful." I whisper.
The door is suddenly burst open, a tall dark haired man strides in. He glances around the room then glares at me, pushing his black tie up to the top button of his suit. Captain and Ward sit up properly in their seats, this man must be important.
"Agent Stark!" He bellows, staring at me.
"Yes?" I question, tilting my head to look at him.
"I must talk to you urgently." He announces.
"Not until I find out who you are first?" I argue, raising my eyebrows.
Captain and Ward exchange glances, confused and shocked. What did I do now?
"I'm on The Board." He admits.
4 words that no Agent wants to hear. I'm on The Board. The panel of few people that are above me, have more authority then me, more power then me.
"Oh. I apologise then." I mumble.
"Follow me, Mrs Stark."
"Sir, no offence, but I do not think that is a good idea. Mrs Stark has only been out of hospital a few hours after the incident." Ward defends.
"If she is feeling that vulnerable, why is she back at work?" The Board member questions, smirking slightly.
"It's fine, Ward." I whisper, placing my hand on his shoulder as I stand up. He glances up at me in confusion and worry.
The Board Leader opens the door and I step under his arm, walking into the hallway. He strolls around me and walks in front, I follow down the hallway. He stops at a white door on the right, pushing it open and I wander inside.
The room is the usual S.H.I.E.L.D meeting room, with a glass table in the centre and numerous leather chairs on either side. On the wall furthest from the door is a tv, large and easy to write on. I stroll inside and sit on the chair closest to the door. The Board Member pulls out a seat and sits opposite, clasping his hands together on the table in front.
"Now, I need you to be honest when I ask: do you know where the disc is?" He questions.
I hide my response.
"What disc?" I quiz.
"You know exactly what disc. The disc of everything that happened when you were kidnapped."
I don't answer. I just sit still and look at the annoyance creep onto his face.
"I know you took it." He announces.
"It's mine anyway." I argue.
"No it isn't. It's S.H.I.E.L.D property."
I feel the anger build in me. That disc contains me trying to kill myself, one failure and one success. It also contains Captain being killed, everyone at S.H.I.E.L.D hating me and Zeke being killed. No way am I leaving that for them to look after.
"You aren't having it. That disc is mine and no way am I giving it back."
"Agent Stark, that disc is not your property."
