Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, it scratches my skin as I wake up. Looking around, I notice I'm back in bed and not at the bottom of the stairs.

Grabbing my blue jumper, I pull it over my head while climbing out of bed. Walking down the stairs, I'm greeted by a delicious mouth watering smell of fresh breakfast. Following my nose, I wander towards the dining table and stop in the doorway.

Captain pours some orange juice into Abi's glass, she thanks him and bites into a toasted sandwich with egg on the side of her plate. Cap smiles and stops when he sees me.

"Morning, Skye." He says.

"Yeah, morning." Abi repeats.

"Morning." I mumble.

Cap pulls out a seat and offers it to me. I sit down and he pours me a mug of coffee. He smiles as he sits back down, handing me some toast.

My phone rings suddenly, Abi and Captain look at me in confusion. Pulling it out of my pocket, I don't recognise the number. I accept the call anyway.

"Hello?" I ask.

"This is Agent Morgan."

"Morning, Sir. How can I help you?" I question. Abi returns to eating her breakfast, while Captain bites into an apple and watches me.

"The Board are having another hearing on your husbands charges. You are welcome to attend but we do not want or will accept any of the same drama as last time." He explains.

"Of course. Yes, I will be there." I answer.

"Well, I will see you soon then."

"Yes, Sir, goodbye."

Slamming the phone down, I sigh loudly and place it on the dining table. Captain looks at me with a questioning look on his face.

"Zeke's hearing. I'm allowed back today." I whisper.

I feel Cap place a hand on my shoulder. Raising my head, his eyes meet mine and he smiles quickly.

"Everything will be fine."

Jumping in the shower, i step out and pull my hair into a neat bun. Slipping on a simple deep purple dress, I grab my matching pair of heels and sit on the bed to put them on. There's a knock at the door, two gentle taps.

"Skye? You ready?" Captain questions.

"Yep. Just putting on my shoes."

Captain opens the door and steps into the room. I struggle with the strap on the left shoe, my fingers shaking too much and showing my nervousness.

"Let me help." Captain offers.

Kneeling down, he pulls my foot onto his knee and clips the strap into place. He then places my foot back onto the floor.

"Thanks."

Offering a hand, I clasp my hand with his and he pulls me onto my feet.

"You ready?" He repeats.

"As I ever will be." I mumble.

Reaching SHIELD, it's quiet, only a few workers wandering around but the security men are still stood either side of the lift. Stepping through, I scan my security card and hand it to Abi as Captain follows. Abi jumps off the lift at the training floor, leaving it just me and Captain.

The doors spring open on the correct level and I step out. But, I stop after one step. I can't see Zeke like that again. I can't see him getting sentenced. The most he'll get is a few months. But a few months without Zeke would be almost unbearable.
