Hands brush along my arm, leaving a trail of tingling and goosebumps on my skin. I moan lightly as I roll over on the bed. I can't stop the grin on my face, I jump onto my knees on the bed and wrap my arms around his neck. He slips his arms around my waist and holds me tight against him. I feel his familiar sigh in my ear.

"I missed you." Zeke whispers.

I squeeze him tight against me and Zeke holds me stronger.

"Did you apologise?" I ask, my face hidden in his neck.

"Yep. I sort of had to, I had a look at my dinner there and didn't feel like risking it." He explains.

Pulling back slightly, I lock my hand with his, our fingers slipping tight with each other and I squeeze gently. Lying back down, I pull Zeke to lie beside me. He chuckles under his breath as I hug him tight. Zeke leans his forehead against mine, his lips a centre meter from mine and his breath hot on my cheeks.

"I missed you too." I admit.

Slowly and carefully, I turn over on the bed. Zeke is curled up beside me, his face resting on my bare stomach and his hand locked with mine. His legs are mixed with mine and he murmurs under his breath. I look down at Zeke lying over me, his lips parted as he breaths and mutters about bands and me.

Carefully, I pull away from Zeke. I place my feet on the floor and tiptoe to the bedroom door. Grabbing my simple black dress hanging on the door handle and my small pumps, I slip them on and step out of the bedroom. Swinging my shows from my fingers, I walk carefully down the glass stairs, ignoring the pain that runs through my body and through the living room. Picking up my keys from the rack, I slip on my shoes and pull my hair into a loose bun.

Wandering out of the house, I climb into my blue Ferari and turn the engine on. Pulling out of the driveway, I speed down the road and around corners.

Pulling into the SHIELD car park, I shift the car into park and climb out. Locking the car behind me, I stroll into the giant SHIELD building with the glass sliding doors and the grey eagle logo. Walking through the doors, I scan my ID badge at the security gates and they burst open. Catching the elevator, I step out on the right level.

I walk straight into the control room. Each worker looks up for a second to see who is there, then they return to typing on their computers. From the corner of my eye, I see Jake. He catches my sight and smiles, walking towards me in a plain black suit and clutching files in his arms.

"Good afternoon, Mrs Stark. I hope you are feeling better." He smiles.

"Hello, Jake. I am feeling much better thank you." I answer.

"That is good." He comments.

"Do you know where Agent Ward is?"

"He came looking for you about an hour ago. I suggested you were at home." Jake explains.

"What did he say to that?" I question.

"He told me to ring him when you arrived." Jake answers.

"Skye!" A voice shouts.

Turning around, I face Ward. The bruise around his nose is dark and almost blue. He smiles quickly as he sees me, slipping his thumb into his belt and looking up at me.

"Good afternoon Agent Ward." I smile.

"Hello, Agent Stark. Can I have a word with you please?" He asks.

"Of course. I will talk to you later, Jake."

Walking along the hallway at the back of the control room, I push open my glass office door. I step inside and hold the door open for Ward to come inside. He strides in and sits down on one of the leather seats. Closing the door, I sit on the opposite side of the glass table and clasp my hands together on the table. On the right, along the wall, are numerous metal filing cabinets filled with documents and reports. On the glass table, are two computers beside me and the drawers in the desk contain various SHIELD gear.

"Zeke came home this morning, he apologised didn't he?" I ask.

"Yes. He did." Ward mutters, looking down and refusing to make eye contact.

"What's wrong then?" I question.

"I can't drop the charges. I've tried but Zeke left it too late to apologise, I can't take back the statements or anything." War admits.

"Ward! You said if he apologised everything would be forgotten. You said that!" I argue, the anger burning inside.

"I'm sorry, Zeke left it too late. It can't be taken back."

"You lied. Get out off my office." I demand.

"Wait- what?" he quizzes, confusion painted over his innocent face.

"Get out of my office now!" I shout.

He stands up and storms out of my office, muttering in anger under his breath. Watching him, I see Jake stood in the doorway and Ward push past him. Jake glances at me with a questioning look but I shake my head at him. Jake steps into my office and places a file on my glass desk.

Panic hits me. Jake delivered me the file of the mission that Captain died on. The man that was making the golden bullets.

"This doesn't have anything to do with gold bullets or anything like that does it?" I ask, not daring to touch the file on the table.

"No. It's a break out." He answers.

"A break out?"

"Someone with powers."

Opening the file, there's a photo of a small girl taped to the right corner. Her long blonde hair is wavy and down to her shoulders, her brown eyes bright on her young and innocent face. I read through the background information.

"Abducted from family at 10 years old, 3 years ago."
"Telekinesis."
"Suspected dead."

She has the same power as me. I will give this girl another chance. A chance that SHIELD wouldn't give, I have to ensure that I am on this team. I need to be the first one there so they don't kill her.
