"Don't mess with your bridge. As long as it is hibernating you can use every skill and asset you already have. I can't activate Atlantis' circuits over here. They already know that they have been compromised and they will come for me." Eden said to him

"You don't have to worry about that. They will come for me first." Ed interrupted Eden as he went down on his knees and reached for a box that it was hidden under the bed. "I wish we had time to make amends. We don't. This house is not safe. Cassandra will be back with the Lost Souls." He opened the box and started picking up guns. "She is thirsty for blood."

"Don't be a fool." Eden kicked the box away. "These guns are not who you are. Pick up the wrong one and you are just another dead man walking." She placed her dagger on her waist and went back to the living room, picked up the other one and returned holding Shylock on her hands. "Shylock is all that you need. Shylock is a part of you. You are no more Father of the Lost Souls. They renounced you the moment you crossed the line and asked Faceless' help. He didn't kill you because you were already dead for them. They are coming asking for Father Francis. I need Ed to emerge."

"Ed is an assassin Eden." He said and looked at her in grief.

"We don't have the time for that. I know he is somewhere inside you. We are in this together. I am not going to leave you behind. You are no martyr. If you chose to die here, tonight, then everyone you swore once to protect, are going to die in a war which they can't win. The Outcasts will slaughter them. We leave now. We get to live another day. They get to live another day. Get up and pick up Shylock!"

"I knew you were bad news the moment I saw you on my door Eden." He was staring at Shylock, remembering every drop of blood that its blade had tasted.

"I am always bad news. You made a choice then. You chose life. Honor that choice! Don't align with death." Eden was putting on her boots. "There is no sacrifice. Get rid of that Monk's nonsense. We both know well that you are not one, despite your outfits and speeches to those ignorant." Eden put on her coat and headed to the door. "We both know who we are, we both know our path, the only difference between you and me is that I never wished for something else. You were enough."
