Highschool AU

"TOM!!" Edd ran up beside his lifelong friend, who was on his way to class.
"What?" And annoyed Tom turned around and pulled one of his earbuds out of his ear.
"Who's your crush?" Edd smiled.
"Why do you want to know?"
"Matt dared me." Edd signaled to a Matt, who was running to catch up with them.
"Who is it?" Matt asked.
"He hasn't told me yet." Edd sighed.
Matt jumped in front of Tom and shook him. "WHO. IS. IT."
"What makes you so sure that I have a crush?" Tom squeaked.
"This is high school. Everyone has one."
"Well I don't." Tom slithered out of Matt's grip and continued his walk to first period.
"THEN WHO IS THAT GUY YOU'RE ALWYS HANGING OUT WITH?!" Matt shouted after him. "WHAT WAS HIS NAME, TORD?!"
"NO!! WE ARE JUST FRIENDS!! I HANG OUT WITH YOU GUYS MORE!!" But deep in his heart, Tom knew this was a lie. He wanted Tord to be more than just a friend to him. He just didn't want everyone to think he was gay.

Tord was at his locker, and as he heard this he turned around and gawked at Tom as he swiftly walked by.
"So much for asking him to be my boyfriend."
