BELLAMY:

Finn and I run back to camp, but I'm reluctant to leave Clarke.

"She'll know to meet back here," Finn says, as we enter the gates of camp.

"What if they have her?" I ask him, looking behind us.

"Clarke's smart, she knows what she's doing," he say.

"I know she's smart," I retort. I take a deep breath. "I'm just nervous. Thank you for helping to get me."

"Thank Clarke," Finn says, and he walks away.

I stand by the gate, but am tempted to walk out into the woods. As soon as I step out, I see a flash of blond hair. Clarke.

Immediately, I run to her, I run harder than I ever have. I see her face change when she sees me, and it looks like she runs harder, too. Suddenly, she's up close and in my arms. I wrap my arms around her and hug her so hard that I'm afraid I'm going to hurt her. I shut my eyes and just let myself be in this moment. Clarke is there. Clarke is safe.

I see Miller run by in the corner of my eye and I remind myself to thank him later.

Clarke lets me go and faces me, a huge smile on her face. "You're okay," she says.

I grin, then pull her in to kiss her. It was gentle. She is so soft. I weave my fingers through her hair and wrap one arm around her waist. This is the only home I need.

CLARKE:

I missed him. I was only separated from him for a small amount of time, but knowing he was trapped in a Grounder village made the distance seem even further. All I know is that I don't want to let him go. I'm not going to let him go this time.

I break away from our kiss.

"We should probably head in," I say, taking my hands off of his arms.

"I think we should talk first," he replies, as he wraps his hand around mine.

"What about?" I know exactly what about.

"Us."

I look up at his eyes and I feel something that I've never felt before. I know what it is. I know I love him. How could we work, though? How could we be together when we're fighting for our lives every single day? Wouldn't it hurt too much?

But what hurts more is not being with him. I know that now.

"I want to be with you," I tell him, squeezing his hand.

He breaks out into the most genuine smile I have ever seen on him. It makes me smile, too.

"I think now we can go in," I say, as I lead him through the gates, still holding his hand.

It's been so long since I've updated, but the next chapter is the last one. I hope to post it soon. Thanks for waiting!
