"Remember those days, when I used to take you out a night and you'd sneak out to meet me?" Luke laughs. I do too.

"I remember them all. We were such rebels." I giggle taking a sip of wine. "It's weird that our lives didn't turn out the way we wanted them to." Luke sighs. I nod. "Yeah. But at least we've found each other again." I say lying down and cuddling into his chest.

"I promise you, Indika. One day. I'll get enough money to care of us all. Me, you, Dylan and our future children." I bite my lip.

"Don't rush Luke."

"Oh yes of course not. I'm just so glad we can start over." He smiles. I nod and smile.

"Indika! Indika! Indika! It's an emergency, your mama she, she's just collapsed."

What happened after that was more of a blur to me. I rushed home to find my mama on the floor lifeless. I carried her and ran bare footed to the nearest hospital. Where we are now.

"Doctor please tell me it's good news?" I say clenching Tabitha's hand tears streaming down my face. "I'm sorry, Indika it sadly isn't, your mother has failing kidneys. It may be chronical. It's not over yet, but she will have to undergo kidney dialysis." The doctor explains.

"Please, do so right away." I sweat. "Yes, but Indika, it's not that easy. We will have to charge." His words shoot at me.

"H-how much?" I ask my heart racing. "100,00 dollars." He says. No. I can't. I can barely afford money to eat. Let alone, 100,00 dollars.

"Doctor, please, have mercy. Please." "Indika, it's out of my power to do so. You can take her home if you like." He says sadly.

I carry my mother in my arms as we walk back home. "Indika, they want money don't they?" She asks weakly. "Mama, don't worry about that." I say. "No, Indika, I want to know. How much?" "It's not that much mama I'm sure-" "How much Indika."

"100,00 dollars mama." I say a salty tear rolling down my cheek. "Indika let me die." "What? Mama stop being silly."

"Let me die Indika. Where will you get that money from. Indika we can barely feed ourselves."

"I know mama. But, I think I might know a way. It includes me going away for a long time but it'll be worth it. I just need you to hold on. Stay strong. Can you promise me that mama?"

"Yes Indika. I promise."

"So you really have to go?" Luke asks me placing my bags on the train station floor. "I'm sorry Luke, I know we were just getting to know each other, but I have to do this. I need the money." "I understand." He sighs. I give him a kiss on the cheek. "This isn't goodbye." I say hugging him.

"Please, look after Tabitha and mama for me." I plead. "Of course. See you soon." He says waving as I pick my bags up and push Dylan's baby carrier on the train waving to him from the window as he becomes smaller and smaller.

Three trains and a long walk and I'm here. I walk around to the back where the slave door is and there I see Mimi.

"Indika? Baby! I haven't seen you in forever." She says engulfing me in a hug. I smile. "Yes, Mimi I'm back." "Why did you ever leave!"

"I know. I shouldn't have left, but Mimi, now I'm going through the hardest time. My mama is dying and I need to find some way to find her treatment." I sigh. "Indika. I'm so sorry. Maybe I can't support you financially, but just know if you need anything, I'm here." She smiles.

"Is that? No? Dylan? My baby Dylan?" She says picking him up. "Look how beautiful you are." She squeals. I laugh. "I'll go put your things down and try and get this little one to sleep. Can you serve the Bieber's wine please? They're having dinner." She asks. I nod my head. "Sure."

I knew I'd see him again. But he'd probably not care about me. He's probably happy without me. I put my apron on and grab the wine and glasses. I take a big breath before opening the door that led to the dining area.

"Does anybody care for wine?" I ask politely shaking in my boots. I refuse to look at him. I couldn't stand to look at him.

"Indika! What a surprise. I didn't expect to see you here again. Nice to have you back." Mrs Bieber smiles. "Thank you ma'am."

I pour some wine into Shannon's glass. "You didn't get very far did you?" She snickers. My cheeks start to burn.

"I'm afraid you're right ma'am. Family issues have brought me back." I say calmly.

"Wine sir?" I ask Justin looking at the ground. He doesn't reply. "Wine sir?" I repeat again.

"Wine si-"
"How am I supposed to know you're talking to me if you're not looking at me." He says in a slight angry tone. "Apologies sir. Wine?" He nods. "Please. I've got a lot to drink for." I pour the wine into his glass as I feel his gaze.

"How about a toast?" He asks standing up. I see this as my que for departure and turn to leave. "No Indika stay. I want you to hear the good news." I nod my head and stand with my head low.

"Here's to the 30th of august. The day where it'll all be official, the day where we will be happy, the day where we will put all past lovers and mistakes behind us. The day where all heartbreak, tears, lies, regret, sadness, darkness, isolation, loneliness, anguish, pain, backstabbing, leaving me and taking my own son away from me when you know you still love me- I mean, pain and past heartbreak will be behind us. The day of joy."

"Our wedding day."
